That Yellow-billed Cuckoo and Azure Bluet both look somewhat obese.

That's it for them. Forestry Health Commissioner Benepe knows what's needed. Rip those trees out by the roots!

Obesity needs to be cured. Bloomberg and Benepe prescribe destruction of trees to cure obesity.

Oh? You read that they want to plant millions of trees? No! No! No! First they must be ripped out, then artificial grass, trees and flowers, as well as all sorts of harmless plastic wildlife takes its place. Concrete is great, too!

Bloomberg and Benepe know that you have no say whatsoever over the spending of your tax offerings, and they have many grateful friends who need that money far more than you do. Naturally, grateful friends always share, so, your money will be pocketed by those who know more than you do about what to do with it.

Good-bye, trees, shrubs, flowers, grass, wildlife.

Hello, classy fakes.

jerry should add Adrian Benepe's name to "the list."

I can't believe this! The astro turf is disgusting and ugly. Use the money to clean it up and fix it up. Leave nature alone. We don't want or need this toxic stuff for our kids to play on.

Come on....what is going on here?

Al Gore, are you reading this? Look what they are doing to planet earth.

Parks has always operated with a Nazi mentality. They pretend to be open to ideas from the public, but nothing could be further from the truth. All of you dimwits that voted for Bloomberg, I hope your enjoying what you voted for. Isnt this great! Destruction of our natural resources. Be smarter next time. I wonder who the Crapper voted for in the 2 Bloomberg elections? Hmmmm.

"Ken"......
With the theme music from "The Godfather"
playing in the background.....
I've already added Benepe's name to "my list" !

Note:
The NYPD, FBI, etc.
need not get their panties in a bind.....
I'm only being sarcastic
(no death threat accusations please) !

People said the same thing under Guiliani, under ...

The problem is city council, the media, and the cultural 'elite' of this city. This would never happen unless they go along with this.

I am willing to bet that not one person contacted one of the most environmentally friendly politicians in the entire state who happens to be the congressman of the nieghboring district. Anthony Weiner is hated throughout Middle Village, Glendale and Ridgewood for two reasons: He supports the cross harbor freight train tunnel that would unload in Maspeth thus unleashing hundreds of trucks upon our borough( an admitidly bad idea) and he's liberal. BUT if this is brought to his attention he will do what he can and he is running for Mayor again in '09' so he wants all the positive press he can get. Most of all he really is strong on environmental protection. So everyone should swallow their pride and ask him for his support - you just might get it.

A letter to all elected officials is going out Monday. Including Weiner.

And if Anthony Weiner is so environmentally friendly, maybe he can explain why he wanted to allow his stupid Jamaica Bay bike path to be built right through the Wildlife Refuge.

Al, the Jamaica Bay bike path does not go THROUGH the wild life preserve, it goes alongside Cross Bay Blvd. They just removed the sidewalk and paved it for bicycles in order for avid bikers like myself to not have to ride on the shoulder of dangerous Cross Bay and risk getting killed. It never once enters the wildlife preserve.

Oh sure...it goes alongside the boulevard NOW. But the original plan was to pave it right through the refuge, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a refuge in the first place. Weiner was all for that, until people screamed and yelled and then he folded like an accordion.

Sure whatever you say Al, If you could give me one iota of proof to that argument please do so. A newspaper article, anything.
If you dont like someone just say so and give your reason but there is no need to spread lies.

Well let's see, Michael contradicted his own point when he said Weiner was in favor of cross harbor that would bring more trucks to Queens yet is environmentally friendly.

Yes! Let's call Anthony Weiner, the environmentally friendly politician who was asked multiple times to help save the 185 trees and historical buildings at St. Saviour's and did absolutely nothing. I'm sure he'll help.

Chris, you mean you "swallowed your pride" and reached out to Anthony for the good of the church?

Anonymous said...

Yes, Al, I sure did!

Anonymous said...

Oh well, so much for that.

Anonymous said...

You were right Al, I stand corrected.

Michael is still recovering from minor head injuries resulting from not wearing a helmet while biking.

Otherwise he's a good guy.....so please forgive him .

I love this "anonymous" guy. Real tough.

Well Mike, you're anonymous yourself, so...

Al is not anonymous, christina wilkinson is not anonymous, fran is not anonymous. just you.

along with the Godfather soundtrack, music by Metallica might make for some good background music, too. Haven't listened to them in ages but their combatative lyrics would seem to fit the occasion, especially their tune "Kill Em All," on their album "Garage Days Revisited."

Michael.....
they're just pulling your leg for comic relief.

No real disrespect intended towards you.....I'm sure.
