Calling out the Council

So have you enjoyed the comments lately from those defending overdevelopment and politicians? Criticize QC all you want, but we just may be onto something here...

Bat Bans And The City Council

Looks as though it isn't just Queens Crap's regular posters who think the City Council is worthless. Could this blog be a microcosm of taxpayer attitudes across the city?

They cannot start earning the pay raise. Their intelligence is already under a strain with the trivia. Can you imagine the medical problems if these people were forced to actually have a thought? And then, forget about any original thoughts!

LOL it sounds like they banned people from bringing aluminum bats to the meetings.

City council is a façade for the club house money making machine.

It is the public face for a private enterprise.

So why would they do anything useful?

That is not their job.

You bet this blog will revolutionize the way the media portrays Queens. Archie Bunker no more!

No, I bet that everyone will do their best to keep Queens backward. Changing things benefits no one (except people from Queens) and could harm a lot of sacred cows. The ones we have to watch are those fellow Queensites that have the most to lose if things change.

Nothing like a civil war to bring out the best in humanitity.

We need some serious referendums to change the city charter and ban term limited city council members (and their families) from holding any political or lobbying posts after they're out!
