From NY Post:
New Yorkers flunked Mayor de Blasio in a devastating poll released Wednesday — giving him his lowest approval rating yet amid revelations in The Post about a growing grade-fixing scandal in city schools.
The Quinnipiac University poll — conducted from last Thursday through Tuesday — found that only 38 percent of voters approved of his handling of the schools.
That’s down 11 points from this time last year and three points from a poll in May.
“His education numbers are not good . . . given what is going on these days with The Post. It hurts,” said pollster Maurice Carroll.
The numbers also showed that more people believed de Blasio did not deserve re-election than those who said he did, by 47-41 percent.
“The election calendar keeps getting shorter. So even though it’s two years away, Mayor de Blasio has to be concerned that his re-election numbers are narrowly negative,” Carroll said.

Which Democrat will dare challenge him in the primaries? Avella?
The only devastating poll that would flunk Der Wilhelm would be at the real polls....
the election polling place. Only the voters can make sure that this train wreck only serves one term!
Too bad we don't have a recall option in our form of government.
Why would Avella run for mayor, dummy?
He's getting old and will be collecting two pensions when he retires.
One from NYC and one from NYS.
Do you think that he wants to be king of NYC with all of its headaches?
Anon No. 1 - If anything, there will be too many of them, which might be what de Blasio wants. Avella for sure, but I'd also bet on Scott Springer and Eric Adams going for it.
An F-ing disaster that has set this City back 30 years. The sooner he's gone the better.
If DiBlaso renews the lease's on his 2 Brooklyn mansion's that pay almost no property tax then you know the fix is in and he will be living in Gracey mansion until 2020.
2020 hindsight, that's actually funny!!
DiB🙉si🙈 aint going nowhere.
He is not a MAYOR he is a Lord, get it.
but who will challenge from the Republican side? The problem is that you will see Deblasio start the vote-buying process by offering more and more sweetheart deals to the unions as the election gets closer. Without a compelling alternative, I could see him (ugh) getting re-elected.
Quinn really did the city a huge dis-service by granting Bloomberg a third term as she would have been fine as mayor imo. Her demise and Anthony Weiner's second implosion created that odd set of circumstances that led to a DeBlasio win.
Considering the miniscule voter turnout typical in NYC, if law enforcement membership, friends and family would let go of their Democratic/Union mentality and vote Republican, it would sway the next election accordingly.
Eric Adams...oh, God Help Us.
de Blasio is not only a mediocre mayor at best, he is not a leader at all. His political aspirations will probably end here. de blasio has been bad for NYC, but then the other two before him were not much to sing about either. NYC is not an easy city to run and you need the best of the best, which we really have not seen.
Koch beat mayor Beame and the slogan was
"Anybody but Beame", its going to be one of those elections.
Typical, "mid term sag". Nearly ALL politicians see this.
Added to that DiBlasio isn't flamboyant so people tend to forget about him...except for the Murdoch Post who are just trying to get another republican in power.
He'll be reelected.
"Which Democrat will dare challenge him in the primaries?"
Scott Stringer, Eric Adams and Melinda Katz.
Katz will beat them and the boy mayor in the primary and then win in a walk away in the general election.
She'll be the first woman mayor of NYC and the first mayor from Queens.
God help us!
Avella has no traction. The democratic party hates the guy and they call the shots.
Incorrect, Joe. Giuliani was great, Bloomberg pretty good. DeBlasio is a disaster. Stringer or Katz would probably be better but we can't know that yet.
The media has been constantly bashing de Blasio... the corporate media... wonder why?
They loved Bloomberg though....
Wake up sheeple.... errr people
when is Comrade Di Blasio going to investigate the NYC Mental Health officials ,who are releasing insane homeless who ,stick scissors into a citizen's ear and hit tourists in the face with a 2x4 piece of lumber. ?
He also reportedly will release 10,000 Rikers Island "low offense prisoners " in Nov.2015.
this will coincide with Obama's order to release about 10's of thousands of Fed Prisoners ,many illegal alien felons. according to JEH JOHNSON D.H.S. at a senate committee hearing on C-Span. check out C-span. you hear the crap right from the MARXIST horses mouth ,under oath.
No Democrat will challenge the mayor. Who's the most viable Republican who can beat him? I can't think of a single one.
"He also reportedly will release 10,000 Rikers Island "low offense prisoners " in Nov.2015."
FYI - There are fewer than 9500 on Rikers, total, including those on trial.
R185 there are 16,000 prisoners on Rikers, where do you get 9500
Nice try.
California voted prop 47, reduce prison population down grade felonies to minor charge with no incarceration and guess what
CRIME HAS EXPLODED!!!Do you want that, its comming to a neiborhood need you,get ready.
Regarding Rikers Island population, I was off by 200... It's closer to 9700

I doesn't matter who replaces De Blasio.
REBNY (Real Estate Board of New York) runs NYC.
They have the dollars and power to buy off practically anybody.
Who else do you think will be funding the next mayoral candidate?
r185 - If the poll numbers continue like this, and de Blasio continues to alienate people, up to and including Andrew Cuomo, he will face a challenger (if not several) in the primary. Sharks will always smell blood on the water.
"The media has been constantly bashing de Blasio" — why?
Maybe it's whatever reason you allude to in calling us "sheeple" (all except for you, right, because you see through it all?)
or maybe it's because he's a terrible mayor. 20 years of falling crime and 10 years of school reform were good and now it's all being reversed.
But you believe whatever you want.
