Letter to New Yorkers for Parks

NY4 Parks:

You are either making comments about issues you know nothing about, or are being paid to sell out OUR communities. You are hurting OUR communities.

Why are you promoting policies that allow all these businesses to destroy Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in exchange for funding it? If this is a such a great idea why not advocate the same for Central Park?

Be interesting to see how fast your funding dries up.

Again I ask, who is funding your group?

As a member of the affected community, and not an outsider. I strongly suggest you cease and desist your intrusion.

Alfredo Centola
President
Malba Gardens Civic
Member of Coalition to Save Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Good valid points.

Again Al Centola on the right side of the issues. Looking out for our community and our children.

Where are all these so called community activists/candidates? Nowhere ! Absolute silence. Vallone/Graziano/Halloran/Silverstein/Shafron you want our vote? You better speak up or we are going to really start writing in Al Centola.

I know Vallone is busy doing damage control because of his involvement in the dumping of contaminated soil from a superfund in Whitestone. I guess he's done or at least one can hope. Shafron is an outsider who has the party machine aka another sellout. Graziano has Lombardi, and his connections to Avella to worry about. Silverstein is a good kid but come on now !

Run al run

Are you daft man?
WTF do you mean by, "Graziano has Lombardi"?

RU suggesting that they're connected in any way?
You're a complete ass if you think so.

Can you read?
Lombardi has been attacking candidate Graziazno, unfoundedly, on his blog!
They are not tied together at the hip as you infer.

Lombardi is the Vallone's stooge.
Everything he posts comes from the Vallone camp.

Adam the dwarf never posts without the Vallone's approval. The Vallones are scared because Don Paulo hasn't raised enough money.

And enough with running Centola as a write in candidate.
Al has already said that he's not running.
So stop running off at the mouth with your tired old Johnny one note drivel.

You write in Al if you want. He's a great guy who will get a hand full of write in votes. Maybe yours will be tne of the few he gets.

I'm not throwing away my vote.
it goes to Graziano, the only candidate I trust. His dedication to neighborhood preservation goes way back.

The Vallone record for neighborhood sell out and destruction, on the other hand, goes back decades and decades!

Again thank you but, I am not running and wouldn't want anyone wasting their vote.

Lombardi is not affiliated w Graziano.
The way I read it, was that Graziano had Lombardi to contend with as a thorn in his side. not as an advocate.

Vote rite for our community.

*****

Not only do I whole-heartedly support the sentiment and substance of Al's letter, I am a co-founder, along with Al, of Save Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, the only group out there that actually opposes giving away our public parkland to private corporations and developers. This includes my very specific testimony that I gave at Community Board 7 last Monday night, requesting that CB7 vote "NO" to stop the proposed USTA parkland giveaway.

As for my suppposed connection with Adam Lombardi: suffice to say I've never met him and I don't want to. I don't hang out with compulsive liars.

My connections with Avella? I have no problem with them whatsoever, particularly since we have worked together for almost a decade to protect and preserve northeast Queens from overdevelopment.

Please get your facts straight.

Paul Graziano
Candidate for City Council, District 19

A pleasure working with you Paul.

If you want to eat the Valloney-baloney that's being sliced by Adam Lombardi, think twice before you take a bite.

Bear witness that the Vallones (a developers' lobbyist family) have strip mined western Queens for their own betterment, and left it in shambles--over developed with an inadequate infrastructure.

I offer in evidence--Astoria--their old home base.

Graziano is the genuine article. I've served my community alongside him and support his candidacy.

Lombardi appears to be little more than a Vallone cultist. Pass the "Kool Aid", please.

I wonder--has Adam been promised a job by the Vallone's for the inaccurate (to say the least) tripe he's been posting on his blog?

What is he smoking these days?

LOL!
Those same funny cigarettes Adam got arrested for in Daytona Beach when he was a smaller and younger lad.

LOL!
Could he ever have been smaller than he is right now?

How many old phone books does he have to sit on,
to reach his computer keyboard?

Think of the back pain that Paul Vallone must endure always having to look down at Lombardi in order to meet him eye to eye.

Adam is a Toulouse Lautrec without any talent!

Brava! New yorkers for parks sold us out on Brooklyn Bridge Park, too. New yorkers for Parks bonded with Bloomberg and now they are building 6 high rise luxury apartment buildings inside Brooklyn Bridge Park thanks to non-park organizations like New yorkers for Parks. The true voice for all city parks is Geoffrey Croft, New York City Park Advocates. Check them out.
