Big money and Transporation Alternatives infiltrate community board and astroturf zoom hearing to induce bike boulevard

 Update:

Jimmy Van Bramer brought Donovan Richards to the area along with fellow fauxgressive elected Democrats Letitia James and Grace Meng for a fundraiser at a house around the corner from the notorious bike boulevard.

I hope their tax payer funded personal drivers escorting them were able to get over there o.k.

The people can see you Transportation Totalitarians. The jig is up.

Yes, Jimmy is a big disappointment supported only by outside powers whose agenda he pushes to forward his career.

Interesting to see he threw the community under the bus - all they could do is to make sure his political career is over, but like his neighbor Costa, since he delivered his community as a base to the progressives, he will just move up the ladder.

“Big Money” My ass! What type of retard would come up with a headline like that?
Are you telling us that this TA has money comparable to big oil and the Auto industry?

Jimmy Van Bramer took $10,000+ from developer Jerry Wolkoff to support building two monster towers on the old 5 Pointz site near Court Square#7 station.
Later ...Jimmy supposedly regretted ....if you want to believe that..... when WOLKOFF violated a promise and used NON UNION labor. Jimmy is in bed with NYC real estate folks. Dump that bum!

For propaganda, build back batter - yes.
Does anyone think these radical yahoos are about bikes or social engineering?
Who exactly is the person who gave so far $32 billion for radical causes?

They should at least be honest and name their group "Queens streets for drivers".

"Queens streets for drivers".

The ones who actually pay for the streets, roads via various forms of taxes.

Transportation Alternatives is one of the most dangerous lobby groups in NYC right now...

No, car drivers are. That’s why we so many dead bodies each year.

Transportation Alternatives should pay taxes.

I'm sure I saw George Soros cycling down 39 Ave in full multicolored spandex and a red flag with a hammer and sickle.

@"The ones who actually pay for the streets, roads via various forms of taxes."

You pay a pittance for what you consume and destroy.

From Indeed, working at Transportation Alternatives

Myopic, vengeful management
Manager (Former Employee) - New York, NY - July 10, 2020
The management that remains at this farce of a "progressive" nonprofit kowtows to the megalomaniac executive director at the expense of all else. Cohesion, esprit de corps and employee morale are all sorely lacking at this unhappy place, where any form of dissent or resistance is met with punishment or summary firing. Only join this organization if you want to do penance for ever believing that you were valuable or deserving of a dignified living.
Pros
Co-workers are passionate and dedicated
Cons
Executive director is a narcissistic micro-manager

Glass Door Employee review of Transportation Alternatives
Former Manager
Beware: this place is a sinking ship.

Pros
Upsides: The organization, somehow, is perceived very well externally, so will look good on your resume.
Cons
Useless, self-obsessed and myopic leadership, constantly changing priorities. Incomprehensible strategy. Organization bounces from crisis to crisis with no control of its own narrative.
Work output was meaningless, as all pay and accolades were based on personal relationships with senior managers. Some employees were allowed to spend six months a year “working from home” with full pay, while others were expected to give up nights and weekends to attend meetings and table at events for very low pay.
Morale low Leaders are a parody of liberals, denouncing racism and gender inequality while perpetuating it through unfair hiring practices and unequal salaries.
High turnover: There was over 50 percent turnover every year I worked at the organization. Lack of planning would cause the same failures year after year, as there was no accountability for outcomes. Repeating the same worst practices year after year took on a Sisyphean tone.
“Inclusion” and “diversity” efforts insubstantial and inconsequential. Organization’s mission and messaging focus overwhelmingly on white neighborhoods and catering to wealthy donors from Park Slope and the Upper West Side.
You will be expected to work over your vacations and respond to emails at all hours. There is no work-life balance. No emphasis on projects that move the needle. No one sticks around long enough to build up institutional knowledge. Cult-like culture, with constant tests of the organization's ever-changing dogma.
Very low salaries, even for the nonprofit sector. Stingy vacation policy. Even worse health insurance, which the organization only paid part of the premium for. HR priorities focused on gaslighting used-up employees into quitting, then hiring fresh meat at a lower salary.
Advice to Management
You have no interest in making things better for employees, so kudos. You've created a toxic environment where no one stays around long enough to challenge you. Better be careful...if things stay this bad for long enough, people might figure out that they can unionize or file a lawsuit.
Or you'll just keep replacing knowledgeable employees with kids fresh out of college and so burdened by debt that they'll do anything to keep a job. Yeah, that. Keep doing that.

Simply waiting for the word from their controllers.
The local "leadership" decides nothing.
