Sardines squawk at Bloomie

Jam-packed Lexington Avenue line veterans said yesterday that fellow straphanger Michael Bloomberg must be commuting from another planet when he says the subway isn't crowded.

CRAM IT, MIKE!

This is the exact scene that Queens commuters at the Ely Avenue and Hunterspoint Avenue stations in LIC see when they take the E or 7 trains into Manhattan during rush hours. Many times you have to allow 3 or 4 trains go by before you can manage to squeeze onto one. If you then must switch to a 4, 5, or 6, then Godspeed. But let's upzone more areas along subway lines...

Maybe Bloomberg has his own private subway car attached to the train..... in the fashion of the old robber barons..... like Jay Gould did in the past Victorian era !

IMO, just more proof that Bloomberg IS anti-poor and working class.

Come on, guys, lets talk up the other problems: services are already overburdened.

Cramming more people into the city does NOTHING for us here. We want our taxes to pay for services for US, not the developers.

Take back city government for the people.

Thank you Queens Crap. You are a breath of fresh air in the stale soggy tired mess that is Queens politics.

the 7 train is not that crowded at hunters or vernon. it's not often when people can't get in. half of the crowd has gotten off at queens plaza.

the 4/5/6 on the other hand IS crowded to capcity.

No, rather, a lot of people get ON at Queensboro Plaza as well as Woodside, if its an express. I suppose you are not getting on the train at the height of rush hour if you can manage to get on without letting one or two pass.

Bloomie is a very arrogant man. I also highly doubt he rides the subway that much. He's the mayor, I want him driven around so he can make calls and stuff. New Yorkers shouldn't want him wasting all that time on the subway.

We all have to wonder what Bloomberg is really thinking of with this congestion pricing tax scheme. Maybe he mostly just wants a new tax. Just wrap it up in ‘concern for the environment’, and then people can just demonize those who oppose it.

If he cares so much about traffic jams, congestion and air pollution, why does he let Park Avenue be blocked off? Why doesn’t he do anything about that?

It's true, Pershing Square Restaurant blocks Park Avenue going South at 42nd St. for about 12 hours a day/5 months of the year! This Causes Massive Congestion and Air Pollution!

But apparently it does not bother NYC’s Nanny-in-Chief Mike “Congestion Pricing Tax” Bloomberg?

It certainly supports his claim that the city is hugely congested.

Why do you elect the richer of the two candidates? Because they were able to buy more TV ads. Time to wise up. Don't just vote for moronic pinheaded obtuse out of touch lucky rich guys just because they were able to produce nicer TV commercials.

This whole congestion pricing scheme is just a way to make more room for the black cars and limos and SUV parades of Bloomie and his friends. If you seriously believe that it will result in even one single extra bus or subway train for the outer boroughs, especially SE Queens you are seriously deluded.

Re-call Bloomie now. He is the most out of touch arrogant pinheaded mayor ever. He just annointed the Public Schools as much improved. He's completely out of it. Re-call him now. Anyone would be an improvement.
