You can't hide from the Parking Avenger!

Hi Crapper,

Look what I found today, an unmarked Chevy Impala at the corner of
80th Road and Kew Gardens Road, standing at a hydrant without even a
placard. Does the car owner think that having tinted windows and
protruding rooftop antennae entitle it to block a fire hydrant near a
tight street corner?

Across the street from this office are the offices of DA Richard
Brown, Borough President Melinda Katz, Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz
and Rep. Grace Meng. Imagine someone violating a law as basic as
keeping a hydrant clear in such a politically sensitive neighborhood.

I doubt any of the listed elected officials will confront the cops
about their placard and parking abuses. I must now return to my
office.

Parking Avenger.

This impala is a pig car. A policeman probably owns it and they think they are above the law....so naturally they "think" they can do anything they want.

That's an unmarked NYPD car. It's owned by the city. The give-away is the antennae on the car, they're Lojack antennas. Used to track lojack equipped vehicles. It's not a "Pig" car owned by a "Policeman" still, it shouldn't be parked that close to a hydrant.

This happens twenty times a day at the 7 Eleven on Flushing on Northern Boulevard and 147st.

As an "unmarked" car, it certainly draws attention to itself by being parked next to a hydrant.

It's the sense of entitlement that police have with the disregard of laws like "Don't park next to a hydrant" which helps fuel the attitude that they are "pigs". Deal with that.

Happens all the time on 33rd Avenue just around the corner from Sushi Village - probably a convenient spot when the parking lot is full.

This is what happened in Boston when a car parked too close to a hydrant.

Nothing was ever gained or resolved by resorting to derogatory, insulting, demeaning terminology. Deal with it

Most of the time, they don't do their jobs and when you are the person who called them for a complaint, they will treat you as if you were the criminal. I will not give any NYPD pigs the title of "NYPD policeman" because they dont deserve it. You have to give respect to earn respect. Which is something that these NYPD pigs do not do!

Anon. 7, if you have a solution to ending the sense of entitlement that police have with the disregard of laws like "Don't park next to a hydrant", let's hear it.

If you don't, the attitude of Anon. 1 is both inevitable and perpetuated.

Uggh I hope this site isn't turning into the next jimmy justice, lets take pictures of every illegally parked city car website.

What's next? Taking pictures of city cars blocking the bike lane?

Parking Avenger - I applaud you. I cross this intersection daily, and the cars parked (both police and non-police) at this spot hold up every single Q10 and Q37 making a turn onto 80th Road. A tremendous nuisance for passengers and pedestrians alike.

"It's a pig's car". LOL. Why is it that cop haters are so deluded into thinking the police crave their love and adulation? Cops don't give a fuck what you think and hate you too. Why also do cop haters always have the police in their lives by constantly calling them for help with their lives?
