Mizumi restaurant is pumping funds into a planned expansion that will clean up the eyesore next door, a defunct gas station, The Courier has learned.
Owners of the sushi restaurant and buffet bought the former Getty gas station on 231-06 Northern Blvd., which has been tagged with graffiti for more than a year, and plan to replace it with an extension of the eatery.
Besides cleaning off the vandalism, the Chiang family, which owns Mizumi, hired Advanced Cleanup Technologies to remediate any environmental concerns caused by the gas station or expansion as it sits directly in front of Alley Pond Park.

It's nice that they are going to clean it up, however, let's see what crap they build there next.....time for more Asian overdevelopment!
If done right, it could have a spectacular southern view of the Alley Nature Preserve.
Here comes another eyesore....
Let's give some credit to someone, regardless of nationally for cleaning up a real eyesore.
Does it really matter who is developing something as long as it's done within the legal perimeters?
Yum, raw fish with petro residuals!
"Let's give some credit..."
Ha, ha. You must be new to the blog. It doesn't matter that they're tearing down an eyesore and cleaning up the soil, they're Asian, so they get slapped by the posters here. You're lucky if none of them cheer the ferry disaster while they're at it.
