That sure looks like a sanitation violation

SUBJECT: Executive Arms Apartment Building located at 88-15 168th St with the garbage area located on the NE corner of 168th St/89th Ave.

I reported this problematic apartment building in regards to improper disposal of garbage (not only gave exact location, but address as well), yet DOS reports states:
SERVICE REQUEST #: 2013WB0347252
CREATED ON: 10/10/2013 10:56:00 AM
REQUEST TYPE: Dirty Condition
DETAIL: Trash Disposed Improperly
INCIDENT ADDRESS: 168 STREET AND 89 AVENUE
INCIDENT BOROUGH: QUEENS
STATUS: The Department of Sanitation investigated this complaint and found no violation at the location.
LAST UPDATED ON: 10/12/2013 12:00:00 PM
NEXT UPDATE DUE: Closed - No Further Updates

How can that possibly be, when this is not a one time occurrence, this is ongoing and I have reported this in the past. Besides this building has several major quality of life violations over the years (16 just in 2013/2012)?

Yes, Joe .......Jamaica and flushing both need to be cleaned up! Don't people care about what them and their children are breathing in? Think of all the pollutants you are exposing yourself to!

this is why 311 is a big joke mostly designed to get the issues of real government off the backs of your local councilman so they can troll for donations from developers and spend the rest of their time getting photo ops tweeding with immigrants, children and seniors - with the odd street renaming with the clueless.

the Executive Arms can't reach far enough to big up the garbage. like the guy in the first photo looking out the door like why would all this trash be an issue?

Bingo! 311 s a huge scam by Bllomberg and his ilk, to make us feel like we still have some say in things. It is the phone version of those buttons at intersections that supposedly make the light change faster for you.

311 is good for something...A paper trail that can be useful in lawsuits when someone gets injured by a fallen branch or steps into an uncovered storm drain. It cost less to fix the problem before getting a lawsuit.

I swear by 311. Very efficient and when a problem still exists, it can be escalated to proper authorities.
Make sure you write down the work order complaint # that they give you. Used this system hundreds of times.. It does work! You may even get a call back to see if the matter has been corrected.

I do think 311 works, but in some cases for whatever reason, it gets screwed up. But I do agree with the one person, I normally do not have an issue, but when I do, it is a big fuck-up like this.
