At least some of the Party-backed candidates lost. Choe, Vallone, Sears lost big time. It's a start.
Thank GOD that Iannecce and Vallone lost. Shame Behar didn't win but Kim should be a good councilman.

What's so great about Kim? He only won because of the Asian vote. I wouldn't be so proud of that. He hasn't done anything for the district and has accepted a ton of money from developers. Nothing to be proud of.

Kim isn't great but among the top tier candidates in that race he is by far the best. Jerry is incompetent(and a 3 time loser), Vallone would have been awful. Kim's issues at least seem pretty progressive, and he has put on a good showing at many candidates nights. He wasn't the best choice in the race as far as I'm concerned, not even in the top 2. But he is a far better choice than Iannecce, Vallone, or Markell (who to be fair never had a shot).

Halloran will win. The white people in Bayside, Little Neck, and Whitestone are too worried about the character of their community's (aka don't want more asians, esp running thier district) to allow a non-white Councilman.
Yes, local races certainly should have runoffs. Good reason to do this is aperfect example in a canidate using false registrations

Albert Cohen was put there to ruin Michael Cohen's race. How else could Koslowitz win? Queens County Dems win again. Queens County Voters Lose again! why bother to vote.
