A flood of complaints

Almost 200 Queens homeowners have inundated the city with more than $4 million in claims for summer flood damage they say the city should have prevented.

CITY GETS FLOODED BY $$ CLAIMS

The residents blame old, insufficient sewers for the mess on Aug. 8, when three inches of rain fell in an hour, crippling the subway system and flooding homes.

For what it's worth in the publicity arena at least.....
a group should be formed
("No More Crap Coalition"....
merely a suggested title)
to file a huge NYC resident class action lawsuit against those in government who are responsible
for over development which IS THE ROOT CAUSE
of the flooding as well as many other
serious problems.

ALL city officials would be included as the defendants.....starting with the office of mayor
on down to each and every community board member !

In the "bill of particulars" that would be included
in the law brief are:

#1. An end to the self certification process
immediately

#2. Down zoning of many high density
neighborhoods throughout NYC.....
not just on a spot by spot basis

#3 Increase of penalties & actual jail time
for builders who break the law....
with the added option of license revoking

#4. Infrastructure improvement
before building in areas already overtaxed with
inadequacies.....power grid, sewers, schools,
hospitals etc.

#5. An end to political campaign donations from
developers and their service affiliates
(the politico/real estate industry controls the
planning process in NYC far too much)

#6. Background searches (including polygraph
tests) of ALL political candidates

Does this sound like a dream?

Well...it is !

But imagine the effect it would have on
intelligent urban planning instead of a gang
of political rapists designing our city in the manner of what's best for them ($$$$$$$$) ......
not its residents !!!

Just keep up the message and don't drop it. We can get 100s of people to our banner on this one issue alone. THAT is how you build a movement, folks.

Now go out and preach the gospel.

Taxpayers all over Queens - especially those whose homes and businesses were wrecked by flooding - would be all ears when the following question is answered:

What became of the water and sewer taxes paid for these many many years? How many multi-millions of dollars were collected? How many pennies were spent for the upkeep, maintanance and upgrading of sewers and waters lines in Queens?

Who got that money? Who decided to divert it away from its purpose?

Questions for the Commissar? You bet!

Some of the money was probably skimmed off
by the Queens "clubhouse"......
so that toads like Toby the troll Stavisky
could continue their complacent dynasty!
