De Blasio tells Maspeth where it may protest

From DNA Info:

Mayor Bill de Blasio called out angry Queens residents who protested against a proposed neighborhood shelter in front of Commissioner Steven Banks' Brooklyn home — accusing them of being NIMBYs and telling them to unleash their fury at Gracie Mansion instead.

The mayor, speaking with Brian Lehrer on his weekly call-in to WNYC, said it wasn't right for more than 200 protestors to disrupt Banks and his neighbors Thursday night.

"If you have a problem, come to my home," de Blasio said. "Come to Gracie Mansion, you can protest all you want. Come to City Hall. But leave alone decent public servants who are just trying to give people a place to live."

Doped up Marxist bastard belongs in handcuffs or on some funny farm. Wait till Donald Trump is in office and he no longer has Obama to protect him.
Both say Maspeth is "to white conservitive" and that's what this neighborhood busting is all about. --A 104pct cop told me this

Sorry Blaz, Banks' neighbors need to be informed that they are living next door to a Poverty Pimp.

Honest question: what are his chances of another term? Is there anyone of note who will run against him?

Why go to your house? It is just deaf ears there!
Mr one term mayor .... where is your affordable housing? I guess the $$$ is not in it.
Yet tell the tax payers how much we pay for these motel/hotel rooms? After all Mr Banks said NYC is paying for this. If I recall we are NYC the tax payers!

Obama despises him. He got along much better wit Bloomberg.

THIS MOVEMENT JUST KEEPS GAINING MORE MOMENTUM. MY SUGGESTION IS TO HAVE A DAY OF MULTIPLE PROTESTS THROUGHOUT THE CITY: CITY HALL, GRACIE MANSION, DIBLASIO'S COMPOUND, WALL STREET AND TIMES SQUARE.

Maspeth will not give up in fact the movement is growing.

I live in Forest Hills, but I would GLADLY join with Maspeth residents in any protests against this doofus deBlaz and his cronies. His incompetence is not only limited to Maspeth so it affects all of us. I agree with the previous poster about one day of spread out protests. Does anyone have any info on the Maspeth groups upcoming protests or and anti deBozo events, please share!

Check out the Maspeth 11378 Facebook page, this morning they are at the Oyster Bay home of the COO of Acacia. This is great, GO MASPETH!

FYI: Addabbo's and Crowley are scheduled to grace us with their presence at the Middle Village Property Owners meeting on Mon. Sept 19th at St Margaret's Parish Hall. 7:30. Just thought someone might have a question or 2 for their elected (for now) representatives.

You should repay at their doorstep what they do to your doorstep - make life miserable.

I have been to numerous city hall demonstrations.
They are scheduled by the hour and have become social events.
By all means , waste your time at city hall, but bring it to the perp's doorstep !
Be he or she a commissioner or city council member, give 'em hell!
That is what real democracy is all about.
Peaceful, effective...bring it home to the doorstep....it works as has been proven in Maspeth.
Although I live in northeast Queens, I have also attended a few Masoeth demonstrations. Why?
Because they are my brothers and sisters of Queens.
"We must hang together, or we shall hang separately".
An old Amican Revolution utterance, though I cannot remember who exactly said it.
Please refresh me of anyone knows the source.
Bravo Maspeth! Maybe my civic could take a transfusion of your blood and get some gumption.

That is some shepard Faery parody pic, crappy. It would be nice if there was a similar one using big bird.

I wonder why Mayor Big Slow is offering or is that challenging the mighty Maspethians to rally at the mansion. Will he send reinforcements and barricades if they show up or pen them in free speech zones like they have been doing at city hall and other press conferences, photo ops and events at other locales, like the time they cordoned off people protesting at the rockaway side/boardwalk last year. Or maybe do an imitation of what Mayor Fun Size ordered to do at zucotti park against OWS. This motherfucker is trying to tell people how to use their constitutional right to free speech and to free assembly. Go fuck yourself. Suddenly he cares about harassment. Where was this concern when people in Bushwick and the East Village were getting harassed by their slumlords with buyouts and surgical destructive renovations of neighboring apts. Where was the sensitivity when the communities by Rego Park and Elmhurst railed against the bike lanes on Queens Blvd. and he decided to paint them anyway.

His recent statements regarding these justified protestors (may I suggest protectors, Maspeth, like the Native American tribes in North Dakota are calling themselves, rallying against an oil pipeline being planted in their burial grounds), are defiantly hypocritical and arrogant. And his indifference to the citizenry is equally such. The same thing can be said of his callous disregard of the people of Crown Heights, Sunset Park and the incoming invasion of the institutional govt gentrification of East New York, His only concern are for the preferred constituency of the predator developers and the frivolous spenders. The only housing that has been produced, under the rubric and falsehoods of affordability, are luxury condos, surgical high end conversions of brownstones and row houses and dull glass towers with gilded age party fixed rooftops and balconies. The only plans being laid by city hall are ludicrous and insane developments near flood zones. The only infrastructure that takes place these days is when it concerns film shoots and pop up events, when they set up barricades for the convenience of them.

Damn right there has to be citywide movement against this raping of the city, the exploitation of the destitute and the dismantling of the middle and lower classes. And has mentioned, this is gaining steam from all the towns being besieged with this warped city planning/plotting.

The only way this is going to stop is for indictments to get drawn up and The Big Slow being frog-marched out of city hall and down park row in handcuffs on his way to the tombs by baxter and white st. But in the meantime, let's keep browbeating this fraudulent bag of dead dicks until his big fat head explodes. Phony pile of shit he is.

Why not protest in front of Deblasio's investment properties in Park Slope? He's collecting nice market rents there....Why don't people protest there and have the good mayor put a homeless shelter in his backyard? Park Slope is too good for homeless shelters? Since all you "NIMBYS" in Maspeth won't take a shelter, then let the good mayor set an example and lobby for one right by his REAL home which he has to go back to when his one term is over.

Anonymous said...

Screw you DiBlase! In America we have the right to protest at the homes of those who are trying to ruin our neighborhoods.
BTW Is Banks gay? I have my suspicions. Flood his neighborhood with shelters!

As opposed to having other neighbor's quality of life disrupted constantly by these shit homeless shelter filled mostly with disruptive people, illegal truck driving on residential streets, illegal parking on sidewalks, waste transfer stations, etc OH BUT when it is one of the mayor's elite, well, then it is a different story.

FUCK HIM.

To the one who said that local cops across the nation will become gestapos; Have you seen how protests have been handled and the brutal tactics used against them in the past 15 years? Have you noticed how the great orator and constitutional lawyer president Obama has dealt with whistleblowers and illegal immigrants?

If there is even a hint of any abuse of power by police officers on the level of Nazi control, I bet my meager savings that the citizenry across the nation will not tolerate it.

Other than that, Trump AND Hillary should not be president because it will truly reduce the role to what it is now, especially after the 8 year terms of W and Obama. A figurehead and instrument for plutocracy.

Bratton also gets to make big bank from his investment in a taser manufacturer too.

Everyone should see how Gothamist is covering this. They have a deep-seated contempt for the middle class and the elderly (well the cranky native new yorkers, not the ones who are victims of crime)

Maspeth needs to take some of the collected money they have and go to a homeless shelter with rented buses and take as many homeless people and dumped them off in this guys neighborhood so they can walk around all day and night. Lets see how he would like that.

I want to know how many of these homeless people are citizens and are from NY. How many are illegals? The city knows this. Let's see the numbers.
We need an overhaul in immigration.
You want to come here no problem. Do it legally.
We all had families come here for a better life and want a better life.

Anonymous said...

"how many of these homeless people are citizens and are from NY"

Most aren't, I know in Main and Vermont they clean them up and hand them a bus or Amtrak ticket to Manhattan.
DHS does the same with the border illegals plus gives them Obama EBT cards worth %$1000 a month good for 2 years. This as our own people are dropping dead

Well why would you? You practically live in a gated community. The cheapest house I have seen advertised for sale in Forest Hills Gardens was listed for $6.5 million.

You obviously are not part of the "deplorables" who are middle class and almost extinct thanks to the "eletists" like you and Hillary who just love to rub it in the faces of those who are less fortunate and struggle to exist on meager crumbs people of your class deign to throw out.

Just remember: When people have nothing to lose monetarily and the cost of living rises above what they can legally make, people will revolt. When faced with homelessness and starvation for themselves and their children the "deplorables" will have nothing to lose.

Perhaps they will assemble outside your house and remind you that they know you have "a highly productive life and it pays well too." They might just "ask" you to share your good fortune with them. Reflect on that.

Sad editorial on life in NYC.

deBlasio is a one term mayor....the snow storm left Maspeth buried for 3 days.

I heard that a senior died in Maspeth because she couldn't get the help she needed.

Now the Homeless shelter.
