The sidewalk was littered with dead rats just hours after dozens of the rodents sent residents running in disgust at the Baisley Park Gardens complex on Sutphin Boulevard and 122nd Avenue.
They say the rats emerged after someone shifted a mounting pile of garbage in front of the building. That garbage was removed Thursday, but residents say the trash is an ongoing issue, as are the rats, and that management has failed to address both problems.
When NY1 reached out to the management company, Reliant Realty, the president called us back immediately. She said she wasn't aware of previous problems but maintained this current issue was addressed immediately.
Exterminators and a cleaning crew were back at the complex Thursday evening, where a manager also told residents their apartments will be addressed as well.

More rats than at a council meeting

Looks like a community board meeting!
who the hell could live in nyc anymore? packed in like sardines with 3rd world people and mountains of garbage? got out 25 yrs ago and loving it.
Those rats are still doing more than dumblasio.
Which one is Chuck Apelian?
Not to start a conspiracy, but is the city collecting all the rats that used to be in Williamsburg, LIC, and Bushwick and placing them in Jamaica? Perchance inspired by the Dope Lord of Park Slope's homeless shelter program?
I can't wait for the city funded agitprop video when the DHS takes the rats to a museum for a day.
Black Folk, you MUST now vote Trump. You cannot do otherwise. Do you think he would permit this RAT INFESTATION in any of his real estate holdings? Protest your do-nothing, scamming Democrat Party leadership. Vote TRUMP.
If all those rats scattered, how did the exterminators manage to kill them all and dump them in that pile?
If at first the rats don't git,
A vote for Trump you must admit.
He'll be too busy posting snarky tweets to do anything about rats, George.
[C'mon rats and people! Link arms and sing along]
All we are sa-a-a-y-ing,
Is give Trump a chance.
Yes, by George, vote Trump who grew up in Jamaica Estates.
A bottle of Dom Perignon on me, George, when Hillary wins, which she will.
Get over the Donald's trumped up "plan" to make America great again, you Trump chumps.
Doesn't George hail from Astoria far from the drones of rats!
