They destroyed paradise to put this up

Followup on previous Queens Crap post from 2014.

Above photo was before. Bottom photo is now.

You can judge for yourself whether or not this improves the neighborhood the way the alleged owner claimed he would in the comments section last time around.

Do not mind the loss of a tacky ranch style house. Do mind the loss of green space.
Italian, Asian or Greek owner? "No like tree!"

Sidewalk looks a little narrow.

from a garden of vibrant colorful trees and plush bushes to a 3 car garage. Talk about exceeding your carbon footprint.

This is the story of Queens. Builders taking one family properties and tearing them down to build multi dwellings. Causing parking nightmares on already congested street. Causing overcrowding to begin with.
Then to get the rents allow as many as people to live in an apartment just to make the rent.
What happened to preserving beautiful homes.
Is everything a huge brick nightmare?

I thought a law went into place several years ago that a certain percentage had to be green space, even though that percentage was small. It looks to be NO GREEN SPACE at all.

Nobody fucking cares anymore in this city and I am talking about elected officials, city agencies and most people.

Why do some many developments in Queens have no style or taste?

It doesn't have to look this bad.

I remember when horses were kept on this property.

The majority of the street has totally attached 1 & 2 family houses.

I guess you would have preferred three attached 3 family brick boxes?

That would have fit the "character" of the rest of the street...

Apparently beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My eye sees ugly.

these are the same people who will complain about flooding -- soil absorbs water, idiots!

Looks like a small motel

And, the ugly, Anonymous, is only getting worse by the hour! I am SO ready for another dimension. Queens is now officially a cultural wasteland that comprises the full spectrum of what it means to live ugly, as in ugly politicians, ugly government, ugly lives, and uglier people.

QUEENS COUNTY: The Ugly Borough!

An ugly, low-class piece of shit built by low-class pigs with too much money!

According to the NYCity Map, the owner is Camel Poppa-Strocchia. Not sure if the owner is related to Strocchia Construction, which is based in Maspeth. Seems like a miniature Caesar's palace.

This is why every community needs a real civic that is independent of the local politician which, in turn, needs to be connected by a network of the same around the borough so we can start to share garbage like this.

We know the newspapers will not cover it and our elected officials will ignore it for bribes ... sorry, campaign donations.

We also need a city wide civic network not unlike a shadow government to put pressure on the Democratic Machine which regards our city as a magnet for the immigrant and destitute whom provide employment for the Democratic Welfare State and potential voters for the same.

That is all our city means to that nitwit we are forced to vote for and is in office in your community.

THAT PRETTY MUCH REPRESENTS THE OUTSIDE WORLD'S VIEW OF QUEENS. ONE BIG ETHNIC GHETTO.
