This dirty underbelly of corruption - hotel to homeless shelter - is a lucrative business with many of the same players, all of whom give to electeds especially to the de Blasio and Stringer campaigns. Follow the money.

Here is the info you are seeking about the elected official.

And of course nothing from the Borough President, the hack Katz. In fact she has been absent from all major issues in Queens, ALL of them.

Avellaneda is doing Addabbo's and Crowley's job. If Joe A had any balls he would call for hearings on this up in Albany. A lot of State tax money goes to supporting the homeless.

There's flyers in Bushwick, Brooklyn on Bogart Avenue for a public meeting in August about the proposed male only 140 bed shelter at a hostel.

trying to find it online, came across these gems. Who knew that in every borough the City is creating more homeless people to fill up hotels with? I wonder how many of these hotels are down the street from Gracie Mansion? I suppose Bill and his wife are well protected from the down trodden as the rest of us aren't.

Do we see a pattern here? were are the apartments that working people can afford?
The hospitals where tenants were born are being turned into luxury condos.

Too much money to be made. Too many crooks' mouths to feed.
The likelihood of stopping this lies solely in the hands of you determined Maspeth residents. BRAVO! You are not sitting on your hands.
Thank God there is Avella. Say what you will about him being defeated on other issues, at least he is here to,shine a light in the dark corners and catch the cockroaches who are responsible for selling out their constituents.

Get used to it, I was involved with the protesting the Pan Am shelter. We all know how that turned out, We the residents are racist etc, the shelter is still there and there now using YOUR Tax money to convert the rooms and make them legal. Its the cities version of blockbusting so they can get ride of the old timers single family houses and develop the whole neighborhood into Big Box housing development. like all the "bad" neighborhoods of the past are now up and coming big money developments. But first we have to turn the neighborhood into a slum.

The only way is to tell the crony politicians that you will vote the opposite column on the next election.

Most have NO Idea what to do without politics.

Will there be anymore nice neighborhoods in Queens or Brooklyn?
To those who call the ones protesting racists or insensitive when it hits your community let's see who opens their arms to welcome this.

"it's clear HRA is failing" Investigate HRA across the board. Aka welfare Stephen Banks is DeBlaz's appointed Commissioner of HRA. The MOST corrupt NYC agency. Every once in a while the DOI website will show HRA employees arrested. This is definitely not all of them.
