Sidewalk parking at Court Square Diner

"Dear Queens Crap:

I love your blog. Keep up the good work.

I spotted this car on the sidewalk in front of the Court Square Diner on 23rd St and 45th Rd.

I confronted the driver, who makes deliveries for the restaurant, and he told me that his boss told him to park there.

Thanks very much and please post if you think appropriate." - anonymous

The car is there EVERY DAY.

The car is there EVERY DAY.

And so are the TEAs and police for their free meals.....

The car is there EVERY DAY.

And the cops should be there every day.

Obviously the traffic agents were bribed.

how about all the cops that park on the sidewalk on the south side of Murray Playground? That has been going on for years! This car is usally parked around the side in their driveway, not normally out front.

Funny. That same car is there in the FEB 2013 "Street View" imagery on Google Earth.

I work in the immediate area, that vehicle is the official delivery vehicle, it's an actual vehicle compared to the illegal electric bikes littering the streets. The vehicle in question is normally parked on the side and very much out of the way.

Aren't there other things we can pick on?

Yes, there are other things e can pick on, but a car parked on the sidewalk is definitely of note.

Illegal parking is illegal parking, don't care how you slice and dice shit.

If it were an everyday type occurrence, the complaints would be warranted. That vehicle is parked on the side 99% of the time.

I love this blog, truly one of my favorites, just seems a little petty.

Last time I ate there 3 or 4 years ago I almost died from food poisoning. Never again.

I wonder if this diner is "badge friendly" and cops look the other way when getting their coffee.

Forget the whole parking thing, that car being parked that way is not a common occurrence.

The fact is, that diner happens to be the worst in Queens.

Greek/Italian owner.

Nuff said, checkmate.

You can't buy a parking spot that convenient.

But you can get one with a bribe of a few doughnuts and coffee.

The culture of corruption that gave us the Knapp Commission and the Mollen Commission lives on.

Every time you see that unticketed car, imagine what other crimes are taking place with the cops paid to ignore it.

It's Long Island City. The new playground of the one percent!
