Schumer wants to track child beaters

From the Daily News:

Child beaters should be tracked just the way sex offenders are, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Sunday.

"We have no comprehensive system to make sure that after they strike once, they never strike again," Schumer said, speaking outside state court buildings on Centre St. in downtown Manhattan.

Schumer called on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to implement a national tracking database of child beaters, similar to those that exist for sexual predators.

"It doesn't make any sense at all that while we try to watch sex offenders like hawks, we let child batterers, who physically batter children, slip through the cracks," he said.

A 2006 congressional act authorized the government to create such a database, but it has yet to be implemented.

Sounds like an interesting idea at first until you realize that they usually beat the shit out of their own kids, not kids they pick up at the mall. So I'm not sure what he has in mind.

A classic tweeder stunt - show you care while

igoring kids going to school in trailers cause you use taxpayer money to finance overdevelopment,

or look the other way while kids are living in basements cause you encourage their families to move here without financial resources because you are building a party base with sanctuary cities,

or the fact that kids are not getting medical care is not on your radar because you support corporate welfare for developers.

A real asshole.

Yes, for every childbeater you have 100 basement dwellers.

But we cannot say nothing bad about developers even if they put the kids lives at risk.

Comparing child "beaters" to sex offenders?

Does this mean I will not be able to spank my bad ass kids?

What's the working definition of child beater anyway?

Someone should beat the crap out of Schumer. Time for him to go come November. Love how he acts like he cares about kids. Doesn't care how many illegal immigrant kids he crams into a basement, as long as he benefits in the end.

So this is Schumer's Issue of the Week, designed to get him face time on the Sunday morning political shows.

You have to love the feigned outrage with each such issue. It's always Top Priority to him -- until next week. What'll it be then? Too much boat traffic in the East River? Lack of funding for installing state-of-the-art digital hydrants? That Queens Boulevard should be submerged to prevent pedestrian accidents?

If the parents are dangerous, take the children the hell away. If they fucked up one time and have stopped, leave them the hell alone since the state is well known for putting children in situations more deadly than the one from whence they came.

No oversight is necessary.
