2nd homeless resident seeks help from protesters

This weekend, there was a large protest in Sunset Park to oppose the opening of 3 homeless shelters within blocks of each other. The group took a side trip to a men's shelter on 49th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. There, they were greeted by a shelter resident who revealed that he and the other residents feel abandoned because they are not receiving services to help them, like job assistance. He also mentions that the food is horrible.

These sentiments echo those of a shelter resident in Floral Park.

From what I understand, an exchange of information took place and at least 2 protesters are working on getting this man help.

Behold de Blasio's New York City. This city is going down the tubes.

"one harmonious NYC" is what DiBozo wants. BS!

These people need to get a job. The government needs to take foodstamps and things freebies away from these people. I wonder how many times this man has been to jail? I bet you he's been in jail once or twice, why don't you ask him that question? It's called tough love, maybe the government should start using it.

I wonder what would happen if the homeless began protesting the living conditions and lack of help they receive? Would the mayor send his people out to text, tweet and video tape it?
What do they have to lose by speaking up? The city has no right to intimidate them or threaten them. Last time I looked we are still the United States of America. The homeless and the protesters have the same thing in common WE ALL want better LIVING CONDITIONS for them.
You place them in hotels and they are forgotten.
Why are so many still living in the shelter system? Why are they not in permanent housing or is the hotel room permanent housing?
Do you really think these people like living this way? How many hear you preach affordable housing and then they see the Holiday Inn?
You will see more homeless coming out to the protesters for help. Is it only then when your DHS will do something more for these people when your agency is called out for such horrible living conditions? For doing nothing?

While he was speaking, Aja Worthy-Davis entered the shelter and told the men who were hanging out to get away from the windows.

The guy was honest,I felt bad for him,I hope he finds his way.

Hollywood glorifies crime,by the time you have a record your chances for a job crumbles,if he has kids the cycle repeats itself and even if he finds a job it won't pay enough to meet the bills.

Why tell them to get out of the windows? Are they not allowed to look out the window?
Is your boss worried that they might just come out and speak the truth about being shuffled around from hotel to hotel?
Again another way to intimidate those in the shelter.

Does anyone have an info. on upcoming protests against deBozo? Please let us know. I am in Forest Hills but would happily join various protests around the city against this wacko. I keep reading about the protests and would happily go. I did a search on google and didn't find any. I am not on Facebook or any social media. Please pass along any info you have. I complain about the moron enough on here but totally want to join and protest. Thanks!

Here is the info:
Solutions not shelter rally
Friday October 21@10am
New York City Hall
260 Broadway
This is the next one! Let's have a really big showing because this mayor will eventually hit every hotel in Queens.
Some areas already are overwhelmed with this and trying to cram them into neighborhoods without letting the communities know about it.
I call it the Hotel Shuffle! They just move them around without any real solutions!

Greyston Bakery in Yonkers hires ex-cons- no questions asked - and this formula has helped a lot of downtrodden get back into mainstream society. It's a great program and they make yummy brownies. Win-win

I could barely hear that guy on that video But I did hear someone yell double dipping. I hope there is more info on the finance logistics of this cruel existential disaster. Follow the money indeed.

De Bigpussy and Weasel Banks are running a dickensian style system with these poor, unfortunate people and sick people.

The warped ironic thing is that this is the only plan that's being run efficiently by this adminstration, other than the 501 (c) (4) campaign for one new york/deblasio 2017 slush fund in city hall.

The reason why DHS/HRA move people around is make sure they don't establish residency. The homeless are moved from room to room in the hotels because after 30 days you have rights. Which means you can't be thrown out into the street, they have to take you to court to evict you. Unless of course, you are a licensee, which means someone else holds the lease. Hotels do not give leases which is another reason to get people out of those hotels.

So they move people around, like how drug lords and criminal oligarchs move money.

What this seems to me what De Faustio and Banks and these predator hoteliers are doing is People Laundering®

Homeless shuffle heading to East Elmhurst.
Watch and see every hotel in Queens will be utilized as a homeless shelter.
I hope the DHS press secretary is ready to travel thru Queens to spy on those protesting and tell those people to get out of the Windows because the way things are heading The Queens Revolution will begin and with Brooklyn soon following.
