De Blasio goes full Bloomberg for a day

From Patch:

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, who billed himself during the election as a champion for the poor and an absolute anti-Bloomberg, was escorted either to or from Prospect Park early Friday evening by a helicopter belonging to the New York City Police Department, the department confirmed to Patch.

Witnesses were confused to see a police helicopter landing in a baseball field near the southwest end of the park, just after 5 p.m.:

An NYPD spokeswoman said she didn't know why de Blasio was traveling in an NYPD helicopter Friday. The mayor's press office did not immediately return a request for comment.

He's a useless hypocrite. I've never seen more of a waste of human life.

Perhaps for the funeral of the Brooklyn DA?

Was he late anyway?

"An NYPD spokeswoman said she didn't know why de Blasio was traveling in an NYPD helicopter Friday."

Simple, because he could.

Again showing how the taxpayers are playing for this.
I guess he needed to be there in a hurry because he is always late.

A whole new level of arrogance and hubris. And this chump thinks he can stare people down (that's why he has that overpaid beast Aja to do it for him)

How doesn't a police spokeswoman not know the itinerary of the mayor's travels and use of NYPD as security detail? It seems that the lack of transparency is now happening in house.

Our mayor is a spineless pussy.

I don't call him Mayor Big Slow for nothing.

On Earth Day, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio released OneNYC, an updated and expanded approach to the City of New York’s strategy on climate change previously known as PlaNYC. The ambitious plan is broad, yet inclusive as it aims to address inequality in environmental and economic policies promulgated to affect climate goals.
One goal is minimizing New York’s carbon footprint. The plan identifies opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in energy supply, transportation, and solid waste management.

Well this hypocrite will be voted out of office next year.
It is time to get rid of those who do not serve the people who voted them in. The false promises of ending the tale of two cities and how he will be a mayor of transparency.
First you want to get rid of the horses. You do not back the same police who help protect and serve the people of NY. You warehouse homeless in hotels and forget about them. You add bikes lanes in high traffic areas and make the traffic much more congested on the Blvd of Death...aka Queens Blvd. Let alone take away the much needed parking on that Blvd. You see more and more people smoking marijuana in our streets. You said tents are legal on NYC sidewalks. You send your people out to observe peaceful protesting and tweet back what is being said. Oh the graffiti is all over. Besides the corruption attached to you.
Do I see us moving forward? No I see it going backwards.
What amazes me is how our "leaders" from the president down cannot bring this country together. We are still a divided nation and the divide is widening. The only way to stop this is to treat every single person the same rich or poor. All people of color because we are people of color. White, black, brown, red and yellow.
The saying should go ALL LIVES MATTER!

The mayor should be riding in the bike lane and setting an example, not taking a helicopter while everyone else is told to ride or endure the traffic that results from slower speeds and narrower streets.

Do as I say, not as I do. A new Tale of Two Cities.
