19th CD parishioner lists given to pro-Vallone PAC

The mailers get even more interesting. The Catholic Citizens Committee PAC somehow got hold of parishioner lists from the churches within the 19th CD and sent out 2 mailers to those folks: one for Peter Vallone and one for Paul Vallone.

The Catholic church is prohibited from making endorsements, so I suppose they formed a PAC to get around that.

And they wonder why people don't go to church the way they used to. The unholy alliances must stop.

I was just about to email QC about this, but he or she is always ahead of the game.

Yes. I am a Catholic and I received 30 mins. ago a nice focused call appealing to me to vote for fellow Catholic, Pater Vallone, Jr.

I am impressed with the political skill to pull this off, but NO - neither Vallone nor Katz will get my vote.

I was leaving my Mitchell-Linden apartment and in the lobby was a stack of Paul Vallone campaign flyers. Yeah I dumped 'em!!! We live in Peter Koo's Council District 20. This tells me one important thing:

Anyone but Vallone---Now More Than Ever!!!

If I lived in the 19th District, I'd vote for a Paul---PAUL GRAZIANO!!!

Isn't lying a sin? Paul V is a big liar how dare he wave his religeon? Is he asking the preists at St. Andrews to tell the parishioners to vote for him??

This reminds me of when Dan the heathen Halloran used pictures of himself as an alter boy in his campaign propaganda. Anyone see a pattern here???

Nothing new here, priests and big $$ family business organizations have always had a strong personal & business relationships in New York, Philadelphia and Chicago.
Read Henry Hills book or ask any old timer from Bushwick, Lower Manhattan or Ozone park.
I remember as a kid on George street & Knickerbocker when my grandfather would have problems with permits, bad people or crooked building inspectors he would go see the "corner man" then have me place an envelope in the St.Leonards church basket that was passed around on Sunday. The problem would stop immediately.

The Vallones---a family with no boundaries! Think before you vote!

My grandfather always said not always because the bible is based on interpretation's compounded by century's of Vatican propaganda.
People simply reinterpret the rules.

For example
Luke 6:31:
"Do on to others as you would have them do you"

Grampa Joe 1971:
"Do on to others as they would do you but do it to them first"

Paulie V posted a photo on Facebook of him, Ron Kim, Grace Meng and Toby Stavisky campaigning in downtown Flushing today.

WTF ever happened to the separation of Church and State in this country?

I'm so disappointed in the way the Vallone's have conducted themselves. They honestly and truly think they are better than everyone else. I don't want a councilman who tells me to vote my faith or to discuss my faith period. I want a councilman who's ready to work for MY COMMUNITY. My vote will go to GRAZIANO!!!

These 2 Don-ettes must have given heavily to Catholic charity drives!

The mob always covers its ass with the church, so if any soldieri wind up getting get hit they (think) they go to heaven.

The Lord forgives all sins EXCEPT using the church.

Burn, baby, BURN!

"WTF ever happened to the separation of Church and State in this country?"

The first amendment of the constitution says, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;...

In reality the amendment says nothing about the separation of church and state but that is how many interpret it.

In spite of what's being said, and all of our hopeful thoughts, we might have to gird our loins preparing for the twin Vallone victories!

Sigh..what a relief. It will finally all be over tomorrow! I'm sick of all the smear ads and robo-calls.

Has anyone heard that ludicrous Julia Harrison robo- call endorsing Chrissy?

At 93 Harrison still remains in the game...at least in her view of things...whereas Avella ran after the sound of first shot rang out.

Well, God bless Harrison for her stick-to-it tenacity.

I'll never vote for Tony for anything again!

Meanwhile the Vallone Torch and Pitchfork Mob is frothing at the mouth that the person running against the Vallone stooge in Astoria is actually calling them.

No discussion of issues.

Just yet another example of the grotesque state of political discussion in those places dominated by that family and the kind of element they attract.

The fact that the Vallones are pro abortion does not sit well with the people in their home parish at Immac.

Politics is a war zone, old sport.

Why is everyone surprised or disgusted by the Vallone volleys that have been fired?

Maybe those do-gooder candidates should have learned that bayonets aren't for spreading butter on their toast.

Get with Charles Darwin, boys and girls. It's the survival of the fittest.

Maybe the Vallones will take the field today.
They've got loads of money and an army out there.

It doesn't really matter how the Vallones have conducted themselves.

It's all a matter of money and troops and supply lines!

Bite the bullet. To the victor belongs the spoils!

Got this mailer and also the robo call. Both were offensive to me. Got similar mail and robos in 2009, 2010, & 2012 from supposedly "Catholic" PACS. My solution- stopped giving to the Bishops Annual Appeal. He don't get my money to spend on this kind of offensive politics. Needless to say Vallone does not have my vote today. If you want call the phone number on the mailer, you'll find out its a google phone number the big brave no names foisting this drivel are hiding behind.

I guess it doesn't matter to Valloney Balloney who the best candidate for the job is, just vote your faith. Who are the jews supposed to vote for??

Anyone but Stinky!

People seem to have forgotten that four years ago, another priest seemed to endorse Kevin Kim against the pagan Dan Halloran.

I also got a mailing yesterday from an animal rights group endorsing Paul Vallone, who will stand up for constituents with both two legs and four legs. If I had lost a limb during military service or was in a wheelchair, I might take offense at that. But it's no surprise that a horse's ass is being endorsed by an animal rights group...

Not that I really care, but one of the Melinda Katz mailings that I received said that Petey, Jr., was anti-choice (i.e., anti-abortion).

I contribute money to Catholic PACs unaffiliated with the Church. I assume they got their list from such a PAC. Another source might be a church employee who stole a list from their employer because they or a family member is connected to the Vallone campaign. But if the church officially gave the campaign a list that would be incredibly dumb for too many reasons to list here.

I left St. Andrew Avellino at the end of 2001 and have been attending an Episcopal Church since then. However, I still get mail once in a while from SAA, as well as the annual Bishop's Appeal, all of which I shred. Someone in the parish or the diocese had to have provided the mailing list info.

VOTE FOR GRAZIANO!!!!

Here's an interesting observation...

Paul Vallone wasn't endorsed by Peter Vallone AND Peter Vallone wasn't endorsed by Paul Vallone.

Discuss!

BTW, the NY Post called that pro-Vallone mailing that invoked the Newtown shootings "tasteless". [Link courtesy of Shafran.] And that's coming from the Post!

Pete didn't loose because of the aggressive leaflets, he lost because of the stupid motorcycle pictures. Wrong message and wrong person to be riding with, ask his papa.
