Bloomberg seeks to revise City Charter

From the NY Post:

Mayor Bloomberg is planning to convene a Charter Revision Commission in the coming year, sources told The Post, making good on earlier campaign promises.

Bloomberg is expected to announce his decision sometime next month, possibly in his annual State of the City address, sources said.

Reimposing term limits for city politicians is one issue definitely on the table, sources said. And the mayor might also press to eliminate the Public Advocate's Office -- a position he's publicly said is no longer needed.

He may also seek to clip the wings of the city's five borough presidents -- who earn $160,000 a year for government jobs that have largely become advisory since 1989.

He wants to tinker with the City Charter yet again? It's a sure bet that he's up to no good with his Machiavellian manipulations -- that they would benefit only him. I hope that the City Council stops him, whatever his plans are. Evil son of a you-know-what.

How do you impeach a mayor?

Feudalism is the future of NY, So says King Bloomberg and his vassals.

Here here, citizens of New York, you will now be known as serfs and indentured servants, tribute shall be paid often and in large sums with certified checks made out to the 'NYC Department of Finance.' That is all.
Long live the King.

Yeah....clip the wings of the borough presidents....they don't do shit for their constituents anyway....just pander to developers.

Go one further....abolish the office!

Maybe the community boards should be dumped too.

Let's get rid of the city council with Quinn, blah. get rid of the borough presidents, the public advocate, the comptroller, the mayor. God damn it, we don't need any of them. They do more harm than good.
