From the Daily News:
Incumbent Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney, who scored the re-election nod from state AFL-CIO President Denis Hughes today, says she's not worried that Democratic opponent Reshma Saujani, who is raising money at a brisk pace, may be making a play for Queens voters.
"I've never lost an election, period," said Maloney, who spoke to a group including the DN's Nikki Dowling.
How does it feel to be taken for granted, Astoria and LIC? Maybe if you weren't so damn predictable, you'd have some real representation.

Theres always a first time,chicky.
Where is there real representation in Queens or NYC for that matter, the home of the corporate press, Wall St liars like Bloomie and Guiliani, and the one goal by every free market dealing NY pol to make a buck off property. And that goes for Maspeth, Woodhaven, and Middle village, not just Astoria you call predictable. Every neighborhood will be predictable that is close to Manhattan.
Look at the mess a "change" like balloon Christie is bringing to NJ. with his slash and burn funds for public schools? Not healthy for many schools at all.
Actually, Maspeth and Middle Village are known for voting either way which is why their races are always interesting ones.
Astoria and LIC, hell no.
I've got the hots for Maloney. I always dug older babes.
PS I am a White Male.
Oh honey, you really should be worried. Good thing you are a millionairess and don't need your salary. Come November, think about joining your lady friends in one of your local senior centers. You'll have a lot of free time on your hands. Join a volunteer group. Maybe you could help someone. Novel idea.
Kick all da bums out.
We should vote this hack out and wipe the smirk off her face. Her competition at least seems to have some initiative.
