Here's what LPC is designating these days

From Curbed:

MIDTOWN - Buildings less than 50 years old don't usually wind up in front of the Landmarks Preservation Commission, but today the LPC gave its blessing to 104 West 40th Street for landmark designation. Designed by Harrison and Abramowitz, the office building went up in 1963 for textile manufacturer Spring Mills (now Spring Global) and is an early example of the city's green-glass movement.

What makes this more eligible than the millstones? Location, location, location.

Meanwhile, the NYS Pavilion continues to crumble.

LPC adopts a thrift shop mentality when it comes to Queens...
"Little worth preserving there".

But meanwhile on the golden isle of Manhattan...if some notable took a piss on some street corner...that particular corner gets quickly designated an official New York City landmark.

Next I spot LPC's chairman Bob Tierney, I'm gonna pee all over his shoes!
