Afternoon fire in Woodside

2-Alarm Fire in Queens

MYFOXNY.COM - More than 100 firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at a Queens building on Tuesday. The fire broke out around 4:15 p.m. in a six-story apartment building in the Woodside section.

There were no reported injuries and no immediate word on the cause.

And that was only a 2-alarm fire? Thank God for the skill and expertise of these brave men.

it was actually in sunnyside, 45th st. The entire top floor in the ack of the building is burned out. several apartments gone. There were at least 14 fire engines there plus over a dozen more emergency vehicles. Way more than just a "2 alarm fire" IMHO....

Yes, between 43rd ave and Q-Blvd on 45th street. I saw a little girl who had obviously returned from school alone talking to a cop there.
