Funky Flushing photo

If you want to sum up the Flushing experience in a double-exposure, this is the way to do it. Planes flying low over a too-crowded mess.

That's a cruise missile
on its course towards Flushing.

Beautification begins with the demolition of all its eyesores.

Not to worry, its few landmarks haven't been targeted.

This is a surgical strike.

(The preceding has been a satirical comment. The feds are getting touchy these days and I don't want any federal "gumshoes" on my doorstep).

All the more amazing, is that the "gatekeepers" at the Times must be on summer vacation, check out the comments on the link. A couple years ago, those sort of comments would never make it.

Perhaps even the Times readers are no longer willing to blindly absorb their propaganda like some sort of IV drip - slowly seeping into your veins, killing you softly.

I love that one comment - "Flied Rice"!!!

Between the low-flying planes and the buses idling and farting right outside their windows, I don't see how people can still attend St. George's Episcopal Church on Main Street. Intolerable noise and distractions.

Mayday, Mayday.....abort, abort, abort the mission!

H-m-m-m...
