Oh Lord! (part 2)

Wow, another tall unfinished building in Elmhurst.

Hey wait, I recognize this place...it's 1 Claremont Terrace. What a shock! Another stop work order for work without a permit.

Just to recap: This site has been shut down since 2005 because they built a new building but had applied for an ALT1 permit.

How is the DOB supposed to police this? Putting a new building when that was applied for was an alteration is a HUGE problem. How can it be stopped?

Maybe Pratt or Hunter can do a study.

Maybe this will be examined by the next HDC confernece.

Maybe I will win the lotto ...

Considering a historic building that could have been a community center was destroyed for this in this day and age is inexcusible.

Even worse, its destruction was all but ignored.

if the city can slap a fine on me for being 5 minutes late at a meter, they can keep track of a damn building going up if they wanted to.
