Avella vs. Weprin on congestion pricing

From the Observer:

Tony Avella wants an apology from Mark Weprin–and he isn’t getting one.

Mr. Avella, a Queens state senator, lashed out today at Mr. Weprin, a Queens councilman from an overlapping northeast Queens district, for defending a new congestion pricing proposal on NY1 by saying that most people who drive for free over East River bridges are “rich.” Mr. Avella demanded an apology and blasted Mr. Weprin on Twitter.

“I demand an apology from Council Member Mark Weprin for his outrageous comment made last night on NY1’s Inside City Hall,” Mr. Avella said in a statement. “In arguing his support of congestion pricing, he stated that the East River bridges are used by ‘rich people’ who can afford to drive.”

“This statement completely ignores the small businesses and commuters of all income levels who utilize these bridges on a daily basis and for whom added tolls would be a hardship,” he added.

These idiots are like school children. They will fight over anything. All while lining their pockets with our tax dollars and channeling it to their friends.

Why does every district need: A senator, a congressman, a state senator, a councilman, an assemblyman, a governor, and a borough president.

Too many layers of parasites with their hands in our pockets, telling how to live while ignoring their own rules.

Get a better rug, Mark. With all the lucrative deals you have helped to broker.... that has put enough cash in your pockets...you can afford a better dome cover .....or you can walk proudly like chrome dome Paul Vallone.

Mark Weprin puts on a good act but he refuses to listen to what the people of his district are complaining about. He continues to play safe politics in NYC.
This guy is the worst and does not deserve to be our Council Member.

What is that thing on top of his head?

Of course Mark plays a safe game. His family's business is politics. Like the tired old Stavisky dynasty, the Weprin dynasty needs to be flushed. Dopey Democratic voters give us what we deserve...Democratic clubhouse dullards. You lazy bums...go out and get a real job instead of giving your district a hand job. Some of these bastards want to rule forever. Fire these mediocre civil service workers at the polls.

He even looks like a phony.

To werpin rich means you have a job and share your pay with low information voters.

Weprin is a huge phony.

Poster one: the answers are federalism and spreading power among many people rather than concentrating it in the hands of a few.

After eight years at the Council, Mark and his brother, Assemblyman David, will once more switch jobs.

Weprin should be helping us fix some of the serious quality of life issues that affect our community. Instead he supports the stuff below and plays it safe.
Pets and Pals in the park
Movies in the park
Free mammograms van
Free legal service van
The participatory budget scam (A million dollars, where is the rest of the money)
These things are nice but how does it help our community.
Wake up New Yorkers and stop voting for this guy

The voters are mad as hell and there will be hell toupee !

Mr. Weprin listens to developers. Is not that who most shady pol's take their cues from? His daddy Saul was a low down crook. Think of what kind of representation you will be getting from the Weprin dynastic offspring when their turn comes up. Queens gets what it deserves...dumb voters elect double dealing pols!
