DEP shuts St. Saviour's demo down

The Department of Environmental Protection has temporarily shut down the worksite while they test for asbestos a police source has told Queens Crap.

In other news, a $100,000 grant from Senator Serf Maltese may enable All Faiths to preserve and relocate "part" of the building.

Further details will be posted as they become available.

How TF did they get a Demo permit without a "pre-demo onsight inspector"

Perhaps those workers up on the roof were sight seeing in gloves and goggles before the actuall demo inspector got there ?

This rush to get that structure into some deep landfill smells rotten and currupt to the core !!

I hope this sticks awhile - I don't think any abatement work whatsoever took place at the site. They're putting those illegal workers in harms way just to get this thing down and done with.

These developers are unsympathetic toward anyone's life, whether it be the contractors, passersby, or the greater community. For believers in karma, what goes around comes around.

They are greedy bastards who are only out to make big bucks, and cheat the loyal citizens of this cherishable city, which is beginning to lose its soul.

Look, guys, grow up. Yes developers are scum, but scum only grows in the right conditions. The envirnment is made friendly by the politcial/developer complex (that no one seems inclined to do anything about - especilly if you live in a landmark neighborhood already protected) and the inept limp wristed preservation community (whose members mostly live in a landmark neighborhood arleady protected).

Solution? WAKE THEM UP! Take away their charmed lives subsidied at taxpayer expenese.

Abolish the landmarks law.

To that last Anon' person... maybe you need to wake up. I for one don't live in any sort of landmarked area. As a wage slave renter, you're options to battle the system are already limited. These developer guys have millions of dollars to throw around, we even collectively, do not.

ah, but we have Johnny Moskito on ours.

If you ever doubt the power of the little guy try falling asleep in the same room as he.

There's a change in the wind.

The old mantra of pols
getting away with farting in the face of the populace
is beginning to crumble.

For example.....
witness Obama's ass kicking that's putting
that duo of self serving incumbents....
the bilious "Billary" pair out into the street!

That person who keeps on saying
(ad nauseum) "abolish the landmarks law".....
"abolish the landmarks law". Yawn !

Do you have a lawyer in mind
to begin a discrimination lawsuit?

I know a lot of people who'd love to sign onto it.

Or are you just blowing smoke up our asses?

You're beginning to sound a lot like
the boy who cried wolf ,
or a paper tiger without teeth .

Put up or shut up! Nobody believes your bluff.
