Queens borough president hired Brooklyn civic

Park Slope Civic Council

Michael Mallon serves as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. In this role, Michael oversees the Borough President’s Civic Engagement Committee, a consortium of nonprofit and civic leaders who volunteer their time to educate members of the public on ranked choice voting, redistricting and reapportionment, and other matters of concern for New York City voters. The Committee was instrumental in driving up NYC’s Census 2020 response rate. Previously, Michael served as Communications Director for the NYC Council’s Finance Chair. Michael has helped thousands of Queens residents overcome workplace and housing discrimination, immigration issues, domestic violence and other concerns.

This is an odd hire. Donnie couldn't find anybody in the world's borough at all? I guess Mike doesn't mind long commutes, I bet he drives. Queens gets the money and the cronies.

Hopefully Mr. Mallon is the last carpetbagger that the Queens Borough President hires. I'm sure Mr. Mallon is qualified. I'm sure that there are many folks in Queens who are also qualified. Dissapointing!

NYC really does pay an army of totally useless people to do nothing useful. If the "Civic Engagement Committee" were replaced with a box of turnips, would anybody notice? Why does the NYC Council's Finance Chair require a "communications director"?

With endless budget shortfalls for the foreseeable future, I propose the following. Take out the list of everyone working for every city agency. Randomly select 20% of them and fire them all. See if anything changes or anyone notices. If not, lop off another 10%. Keep going until anybody can tell the difference.

Is this one of those "Jobs" where the boss looks for "Inequality" in borough government?

There's an awful lot of inequality at Borough Hall These days... When was the last time DR visited anywhere that wasn't SE Queens? Aside from his office I mean..

It may be nothing...but keep in mind that Senator Schumer lives in Park Slope...

Michael Mallon's nebulous (and totally vacuous) title alone tells every pre-soaked taxpayer what they need to know: Another vastly overpaid, taxpayer funded patronage job, where 'lunch-and-a-manicure' is tantamount to a stressful day at QUEENS Borough Hall. At THIS unaccountable rate of hire, I am beginning to pine for the days of yore, when Donald Manes held court over a less filthy fiefdom, and his obedient mistress, drunken wench Claire Schulman took her marching orders from within the tight circle of Manes Mania, as she slept her way to the bottom - the old fashioned way!

There seems to be a big push to ramp up surveillance.

Big blizzard of emails from Boro Hall about this or that committee inviting everyone into the 'net.' Busy work. Prying eyes.

Not a hint on setting up funding opportunities for non-profits free of Party agendas tho.

Excellent and truthful comments above! The reason why there is a bureaucratic maze in City Hall, and every borough hall throughout the five boroughs (not to mention the CRIME WAVE more commonly known as Albany) is because of the entrenched layers of bureaucratic excess that exists purely for patronage, SO ORDERED by the new breed of empowered idiocy whose deficit knowledge of the city charter bylaws and ethical rules and regulations is nil.

In fact: The Black, left Marxist regime has overtaken city government (as evidenced by Donovan Richards and his mostly Black crew) with a vengeance. It's the reason why ALL of my White friends and family have bolted from this dangerous, unstable metropolis of epic government fail, and moved to the sunny state of Florida, where Governor Ron DeSantis presides over sane government policies, no uncontrollable taxes, zero masks, and a return to whatever passes for 'normal' these days of post counterfeit quarantine and insane restrictions that have all but murdered commerce, life and freedom throughout New York State - now, an ancient Roman graveyard that awaits its final death nell.

The dye is cast, folks: The New York State of Mind for 2021 is the Black, left Marxist terror regime that continually rewards failure. And, the public be damned!

Yep, you cannot pay personal carbon taxes without surveillance, sold as "vaccine passports", "digital drivers license".
Al "Tree" Gore said so today.
He knows, after all he invented the Internet.

Excellent and truthful comments above! By comparison, 'Donovan's Brain' collectively makes ALL of the OTHER pieces of petrified shit of the past look actually credible, hardworking and accountable! But, when can anyone expect, now that the majoroity of educated, Blue and White Collar (mostly) White homeowners have fled this New York State of total government tyranny and anarchy――EN MASS!――for economically friendlier states like Florida, which don't require small business killing 'mask-erade' restrictions, freedom blockages and absurd, Nazi style regulations that make Hitler's party look welcoming and inclusionary. After all, ALL New York slaves to DemonRat allegiance, it was the DNC who created the KKK, and it appears that the New York City and New York State peasants need (demand!) that someone else control their lives and tell them what to do (again and STILL), all of which continually hastens their demise.

FINALLY, the reason why there is a bureaucratic maze in City Hall, and every borough hall throughout the five boroughs (not to mention the CRIME WAVE more commonly known as Albany) is because of the entrenched layers of bureaucratic excess that exists purely for patronage, SO ORDERED by the new breed of empowered idiocy whose deficit knowledge of the city charter bylaws and ethical rules and regulations is nil.

The dye is cast, folks: The New York State of Mind for 2021 is the Black, left Marxist terror regime that continually rewards failure by way of Affirmative Action that has been flagrantly abused (and hardly ever used for its designated purpose to aid disenfranchised people of color). And, the public be damned!
