Chronicle keeping tabs on the Trib

From the Queens Chronicle:

...we have to again take the Tribune to task for favoritism in its coverage of a race for public office, favoritism that likely has both politics and money behind it. Coincidentally, it’s again a race that involves Halloran, the winner of that 2009 contest and now a candidate for the Congressional seat that Rep. Gary Ackerman is giving up at the end of the year.

But this time it’s not Halloran the Tribune is showing bias against — at least not yet. Instead it’s Assemblyman Rory Lancman of Fresh Meadows and Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley of Middle Village. They’re the two Democrats vying for the congressional nomination against the party’s choice, Assemblywoman Grace Meng of Flushing. Whoever wins the primary will then face GOP designee Halloran.

The Meng campaign just hired Multi-Media, the consulting firm the Tribune claims acts independently of the newspaper, even though it’s headed by the paper’s associate publisher, Michael Nussbaum.

So what does she get for hiring Multi-Media? Political advice, mailers and, just maybe, last week’s Tribune front page, which focused on Meng’s “making history” with her campaign (she’s Asian, you see), and relegated her competitors to inset-style photos.

We hope the Tribune — a storied newspaper that does also produce quality journalism —will play it straight this time around and be fair to all the candidates. We’ll be watching for this, since we read the Trib, and most of our competition, on a regular basis. And if we find the paper is showing favoritism again, we’ll report on it.

The people have a right to know.

Accurate news gathering and reporting--without bias or editorializing--is the bulwark of democracy!

Bravo, "Chronicle"--and shame on you "Queens Tribune".

The far more important question is...
why is the "Q Trib" always kissing Asian ass?

Could it be because Ackerman, Nussbaum and Schenckler ALL HAVE interests in the far east...MONEY and BUSINESS INTERESTS...to be exact?

How's your "Shanghai Nights Ltd." entertainment venue going Mr. Nussbaum?

Did they approve your action in overseas in China yet?

"Beautiful Asian girls"...massagee, massagee, massage...all of that whore ad revenue keeps on flowing in!

The more that the customers "cum"...the more $$$$ come into the Trib trio's bank accounts.

It's more money for the Trib's "Multi Media" division every time some poor Asiatic candidate is dumb enough to hire them.

First "MM" fleeced Kevin Kim and now they're screwing Grace Meng out of her father's money.

LOL!
Both should have used "Parkside" instead.

I wonder if Lancman had signed up with Multi-Media before Meng, would the Trib have been kissing his ass instead of her's?

Now the interesting question will be if the Queens Democratic machine will punish Lancman by running someone against him and force a primary election for his Assembly seat? Maybe Paul Vallone? Or will Paulie run for Halloran's Council seat instead?

Lancman is running for Congress and is in a primary with Meng and Crowley, if you hadn't heard.

Also, his district has been completely changed, so Paulie V. is no longer in it.

Besides, he and Halloran already have a deal for the 19th Council seat that dates back to 2009. Why do you think Halloran is running for Congress?

What folks don't realize is that these publications need to make money and are inherently biased. So the paper will do what's best for itself which is earning more revenue to generate profits. So read between the lines and don't take what your given as fact.

Thats the word around town. Would explain the Judgeship rumors, the reason Peter so graciously put Halloran on the committees he chairs.

Yet again we are fckd!

Let me see if I get this straight.

The New York State Assemblywoman Grace Meng is running for a seat in the United State House of Representatives.

She is prominently endorsed and featured by a prominent, influential women's rights a-d-v-o-c-a-c-y group, Emily's List. Check it out here.

She hires a media advisory "firm', Multi-Media, headed by Mr. Michael Nussbaum. Mr. Nussbaum is also the Associate Publisher of the Queens Tribune newspaper and has his office in the newspaper's building in College Point.

Mr. Nussbaum and the Queens Tribune newspaper have published for years classified advertising promoting prostitution in its pages. Witness the current page 62 of this publication here.

("Asian Honey. 2 Girl Special", "Hot Asian Pussycat", "Asian Party Girls", "Asian Hot Kiss", "Asian Dream Girls", et cetera.)

Ergo, I can only conclude that the Emily's List organization and the Assemblywoman Grace Meng are, ipso facto, engaged in promoting prostitution as well.

The Trib deals in churn-alism...not journalism.

Shenckler pours in the "cream" then Ackerman and Nussbaum take turns pumping the handle.

Voilla...out comes a greasy poly-saturated mess posing as a real news story.

It sure ain't butter, but it gets spread around nonetheless...
massagee, massagee, massagee!

From Wikipedia:
"EMILY's List is a political action committee (PAC) in the United States that aims to help elect pro-choice Democratic female candidates to office.[1] It was founded by Ellen Malcolm in 1984.

The name EMILY's List is an acronym for "Early Money Is Like Yeast" (i.e., it raises dough).[2] The saying is a reference to a convention of political fundraising: that receiving lots of donations early in a race is helpful in attracting other, later donors."
