Hevesi has bad news for Glendale; Crowley wants school next to chemical plant

Glendale is getting a homeless shelter and there's nothing anyone can do about it, so Hevesi says.

And Liz Crowley wants a school there instead. (Even though there's explosive material being housed next door.)

Elizabeth Crowley is a total idiot. We really have to get rid of her. She's a disaster for Glendale. What a disgrace suggesting a school be built in this brownfield location. I would not want my children going to school next to toxic and explosive chemicals. Does she have an adviser with half a brain to guide her? Apparently not.

IT'S DISCOURAGING WHEN A POLITICIAN GIVES UP.

HEVESI SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR CREATIVE WAYS TO FIGHT THIS INSTEAD OF TELLING EVERYONE IT'S A DONE DEAL. THIS GUY LACKS A FIGHTING SPIRIT.

Disappointed in Hevesi, not surprised at Crowley. We elected them. Remember this in November. Which reminds me, where is the statement from Nunzio? The guy who threatened the elected's, the board and the chairman and district leader.
At least he was amusing if not poorly informed...

Another lazy, overpaid politician elected to FIGHT FOR US!

#2, I'm sure hes worked a deal with this. Throw in the towel and let this happen, and he will get a "favor" repaid to him down the line.

The only thing thats going to fix the political process in this country now is an armed revolution

She can run for a third term, dingbat.

I like this new trend in Queens politics. Chemical plant goes here, homeless shelter goes there.

Seig heil!

Crappy, wasn't the extension of term limits reversed after Bloomberg got the3rd term?

I know of a house that is going to be EMPTY for three and a half years this summer in Park Slope. Maybe the DeBlasio Family can house a homeless family in their empty home as they move on up to Gracie Mansion. Just a thought .... Would love to get the Mayors feedback on this proposal. How would his neighbors feel about one homeless family living next door when we're getting 125?

Tern limits were revised for those not elected yet. Crowley was grandfathered into the 3 term limit.

Someone better tell Hevesi that when he is up for re-election, we'll deal with him by NOT voting him in. He'll just have to deal with it. As for Crowley, (All the Crowleys), until people wise up and vote against party lines, they'll be older, dumber, still in charge and still defecating on Queens.

Aw, poor Andy... So unhappy this news didn't wait until after the election (or at least the primary). Maybe we can get some new blood in there instead of the unaccomplished son of a convict hanging onto his daddy's name.

Yeah, Andy, hope you DO read this and start thinking seriously about contributing something useful to society for once in your privileged life.

Unfortunately Hevesi is right. All of the city is being railroaded by the cozy relationship between DHS and Samaritan Village. Former DHS officials and bureaucrats now running Samaritan Village and making a ton of money by exploiting the policies that they put in place. It's good to have low friends in high places.

the best thing about this video is the fat guy in the white shirt with his arms crossed and the guy next to him with his legs hanging under the table like a 10 year old ,also wearing white sock. funny funy

Do we have a Borough President? Where are you?

I love how Liz Crowley is now saying that the city and the School Construction Authority should take over Independent Chemical Corp under eminent domain and build a 450-seat high school. That would be interesting news to the 50 employees of the firm, many are residents of Glendale and Middle Village.

moved out of Glendale 20 years ago. It sucked them and I image it's much worse now. It really is a Nowhere kind of place. Have a bunch of bums moving in will make you realize it was never such a good place to begin with.
