Trash can overflow at Little Bay Dog Run

"This is the garbage pail next to the Little Bay Dog Run – it’s looked like this for several days now! And the hose DISAPPEARED the very day the DPR put down some new, terribly sharp, gravelly sand - really nice move considering that there’s NO SHADE in the entire run.

It’s a pity that so much thought and consideration (not to mention money!) goes into the design and maintenance of the bocce courts and so little into the extremely few, shitty, under-sized and overcrowded dog runs in Queens!

The dog park is used by many people and their furry friends and I also noticed how there is a lack of shade to allow the dog owners and their pets to avoid the hot sun.
Planting more trees will do the trick but take time to grow and mature to block the sun.
Also the painted lines on the bike path need to be re-painted. The many bike riders, runners, skate boarders, roller bladers and pedestrians need to be reminded too stay safe and obey the rules of the road. Too many near misses...

More incompetence by the team responsible for Little Bay. Great job losers

The problem is by the time the public has a chance to vote, the vetting process works to make the exercise as meaningless as possible.

Politicians are increasingly isolated and insulated in their own world and feel that they have no reason to listen to you once they are in office.

That is unless you all learn how to act up in their face and embarrass the shit out of them.

But even that is tough to do because they have enough paid shills to marginalize pretty much everything you do.

And- the porto potties under the Throg's Neck bridge are always full; one was knocked over on it's side last weekend. Smells like hell, and it is a total blight. What's wrong with our electeds and Parks Department???

The "sand" by the rocks with all of the garbage strewn across it is an absolute eyesore. We have a shoreline that has the potential to be beautiful, perhaps even a small beach, but like most everything else in Queens, it is just more putrid wasteland. Compare this dirty dump to Long Island City's spruced-up, shoreline. There is kayaking on a daily basis. And it's even better at Brooklyn Bridge Park. There is no excuse for such blatant neglect.

I see some progress at the new restrooms and parking lot. Too bad it's taking so long to build.
