We don't have Halloween anymore in queens because we officially live in a third world country anymore. I barely even get 12 trick or treaters coming to my house in Bayside because this area sucks anymore!
Another method of degrading our values, morals and Judaeo Christian ethics by perverting and commercializing an adopted Catholic Holiday with the recognition and codifying of a pagan holiday and celebration, ever eroding our faith and beliefs.

I like to make art too. I recently salvaged this archery target warthog. For Christmas I'm gonna put an red bulb in his nose and call him my reindeer.

Judaeo-Christian ethics the basis of America's foundation?
There's no trace of Moses nor Jesus in the country's foundation. Jefferson wrote in the Declaration that the truths we hold - Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness - are "self-evident". Self-evidency is a construct from Aristotle, a Greek "pagan". These truths that we hold are not derivative from YHWH. The American form of government is not based on the Hebrew Sanhedrin but the Roman Republic. Neither a Star of David not a Christian Cross are prominently displayed in the well of Congress but rather the ancient Greek/Roman fasces.
The true ethics of America lie in the Greco-Roman sphere.

The Judaeo-Christians commercialized a Pagan holiday.
In my neighborhood, no one comes to the door to trick or treat. Rather, they trick or treat at the stores and restaurants on Woodside Ave and Broadway. I went out to eat last night and witnessed the streams of trick or treaters coming into the restaurant. Seems like fun and much safer than ringing strangers' doorbells. What irked me was that I counted 3 full-grown adults trick or treating with their own buckets. These were definitely not just big teens; they were in their 20s or 30s in 2 cases, and the third one was an old woman. They weren't even in costume and only one was with kids (the kids had their own candy buckets). Is this an actual accepted practice now- adults who shamelessly t-or-t for themselves? If so, I'm buying myself a big plastic pumpkin bucket for next year!
