St. Nicholas Ave church-to-crap

I missed the unveiling of this rendering back in 2015 when Curbed put it out there. But I had the misfortune of passing the site recently and saw it on their sign. Yikes.
Believe it or not, this is supposedly going to be a 3-family home.

That sucks....but it ain't St. Peter's in Rome.
Architecturally speaking, it's rather undistinguished.
This is the kind of shit development we are accustomed to in Queens.

Several years ago, I came upon a hideous structure that was erected in the middle of a beautiful, tree lined, residential block in Kew Gardens that completely marred the integrity of the neighborhood, and the mostly English Tudor style architecture.

As soon as I saw that glaring, cheap, modern, ugly, sterile, towering apartment complex in the middle of such an otherwise, picture perfect block, I ascribed the term 'hideosity' to the building, where it appears that I invented the word 'hideosity' itself, as I have not been successful in finding it in ANY dictionary or online service. And, it's ALL because of these hideous, cheap structures that depreciate neighboring property values, to shabby and ruinous effect!

Hey, that's an idea for Cuomo and Deblasio in their eternal pursuit of more public money: let's tax bad taste! They'll be able to replace the entire subway system!

They're calling it The Sanctuary.

The right term for it, last Anonymous, is 'The Asylum'——and, it looks like one in every sense of the term!

Then, let's remand terminal shithead, Comrade Bill de Blasio to the structure for permanent lock up (once he loses a second mayoral term, when he wasn't even qualified to serve the FIRST)!

Remember, Queens possums (and NYC): A-B-C-D: Anybody But Comrade (Bill) de Blasio!

Nasty ugly piece of shit, 3 family's and a "utility room" my ass
if your going to screw the community every which way possible couldn't they at least match the brick color ?
Where is the parking on those plans is says 2 taxed lots but no words about parking spaces.
Leave it to a Church to pull a fast one and screw everybody. They did the exact same shit with St.Leonards in Bushwick. Plans for 10 family's, yet now have 40 familys and over 380 people living in the building.
And not one dam parking space for a tenant, parking is screwed up over a 4 block radius.

Who's the architect on this euro-fucco covered mish-mash shitbox Stevie Wonder ?
Where did the 50 years of Bingo money & donations go ?

The brick colors don't match.

To last Anonymous who asked: ❝Where did the 50 years of Bingo money and donations go?❞ ANSWER: To the pedophile priests and the millions in lawsuits that followed——THAT'S WHERE!

"To the pedophile priests and the millions in lawsuits that followed——THAT'S WHERE"

Figures, and it makes perfet sense nothing has changed.
Back in the late 1960 Bushwick St.Leonards had some real nutty lesbian nuns running the school beating the boys, touching the girls, people stealing money. The diocese of Brooklyn paid off some parent and hid EVERY ONE OF THE misfits and closed the school when the cops & authority's started coming around.
We were told back then they indoctrinated and "rehabilitated" most of their clergy from orphanages, jails, mental institutions.

Same shit today apparently and still very hard to prove due to the layers and layers of walls and secrecy. It kind of absurd investigations & disclosure laws are not enforced on the church's working with young kids like they are with public sex offender lists.
