Do what a friend did in college point, oh, 30 years back
a couple of concrete anchors into the street, 2x3ft threaded rods that match anchor, place garbage can over the threaded rods (puncture the bottom of the can) and 1/2 fill the can with concrete
In a few hours, NO one will have the parking spot, until someone comes around with a jackhammer
If I am not mistake the upper portion of that sign post has a "No Standing Anytime" sign pointing from there to the corner of 160th street.
The "Tenant Parking Only" sign points to a driveway leading to the rear of the new building. I do not know if the driveway is legal but there is a curb cutout for it.
The driveway has probably been blocked by parked cars therefore the sign.
Go to Google Maps and enter the address and you'll see the new building with a car parked across the new driveway.
Take it down before Peter Koo gets Ideas....
Don't get me wrong, I'm totally against Trump and everything he stands for, but these very brazen, rude Koreans/Asians need to go home. If you cannot respect our country by respecting the community in which you live, THEN GET THE HELL OUT!

It's not a city sign, and it's on public property - legally that makes it garbage. Address it as such.

Everyone keeps forgetting that if you are illegal or a non-citizen, the rules do not apply to you. Law enforcement can't do anything because DeBlasio has tied the hands of the police department. It's a great country, unless you are American. Americans get ticketed so they can pay a hefty fine.

You do something like this and enough pols will show up to pass legislation on the spot, and the queens weeklies would add this on the front page and insert something with bold headlines right next to a nauseous piece about a caring pol or a exciting new building or yet another money laundering restaurant opening

I hate to break it to you, but it isn't just immigrants doing this fake-no-parking crap. Case in point: my neighbors, born and bred in NYC, watch their sidewalk all day and night; as soon as someone parks in the illegal driveway they rent out, they start screaming "Yo! Move your f-ckin car NOW!" Surprisingly, everyone seems to oblige.
In the Bronx there is at least one property I am aware of where the deed dictates the property line extends into the street to included the parking lane in the street... essentially guaranteeing "private" parking. They actually tow violators, including the PD vehicles which park in those spots.
This was previously available for parking before the driveway was put in with no access to the street. They even had at one time "NO PARKIN" painted on the concrete yes - parkin without the g. It's funny if it wasn't so annoying .
