Same old thing every year.
Welcome to the police state.
President Ronald Wilson Reagan said it best
"The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
Remember
"It is for your safety"...
This arbitrary maltreatment is brought to you by the PATRIOT Act, legislation that no one in congress bothered to read.
Inspired by the free speech pens when we the people protest and freely assemble.
The tale of two cities rambles on. This time between the people and the event planners and contractors.
I thought Macy's was losing money and laying off people
Ha Ha now the tower people?
Long time residents could not go to the waterfront since the towers were built. You had to have a pass - given out at the desk of the towers.
Nice Jimmy!
Poor glass tower people in LIC. They have it so HARD!! Their quality of life is so horrible.
PS LIC glass tower people. Come out to the Dirty SE Queens, we have been having illegal fireworks since Memorial Day with no end in sight.
" ... I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Yet homeland security has allowed improperly vetted foreigners into the U.S. from all over the world. It amazes me that our "security" won't allow a custom that has gone on for years with no problem. Are they afraid people will jump? As ridiculous as that statement is, their uber security in the wrong place at the wrong time is just ludicrous.
This is absurd. "Security" is always the blanket excuse, as if that word alone is enough.
Security and "protection" and the ever reliable and banal "for your safety"
Dirty south east has been lit since May 1st. Hell, these dopes blow shit up on Halloween and New Years Eve around here.
The glass tower people don't give a shit and put up with anything anytime, that's why the rents are overvalued.
P.S. I rode by LIC and the hyperdevelopment there looks menacing.
