Police impersonator strikes in Flushing

From CBS:

Cops are still looking for a police impersonator who made a fake stop in Flushing, Queens last week.

He told an 82-year-old man he could pay him $700 to avoid a traffic violation for running a stop sign.

The suspect drove the man to a bank where he handed over the cash

At least he was not issued a summons...

It's a sign of the times: We have publicly elected officials who are political impostors pretending to be public servants, all of whom steal money DAILY from their rank and file taxpayer-sucker constituency, which is far more serious than this soon to be caught police impostor.

The REAL 'friendly robbers' are in City Hall and Albany (and they were never even that friendly in the FIRST PLACE)!

Police impostors are scary; but seriously, how could this guy not know that police don't operate that way?

Targeted an old man easy prey. I work in that area. There's always crack heads hanging around cops pick them up but because they are "mentally unstable" they don't go to jail the hospitals let them out in 24 hours. Also the kids over there are the worst stealing, breaking into things, trying to act tough to buy alcohol.

The summons would have been $100, this old goat pays $700?
