Shitty Frank Lloyd Crap eco-rowhouse for sale

NY Post

It’s been called “The ugliest building in Queens,” and once won a “Frank Lloyd Crap” award.

Now, the “Climate Change Row House” — aka the Lego House — is on the market for $3.6 million.

The 3,487-square-foot property, at 45-12 11th St. in Long Island City, Queens, was originally built in 1903, and rebuilt in 2014 by its owner, architect Thomas Paino, to passive-house standards.

The 3-year renovation elevated the home’s basement out of the floodplain and made it more environmentally friendly.

But it was a new multicolor tile façade that got real estate watchers talking.

The home also includes a rooftop solarium, triple-pane windows for temperature and sound insulation and a hospital-grade air filtration system — a nice selling point during a pandemic.

Rupert Murdoch's gazette neglected to credit this blog for the Frank Lloyd Crap designation.

Did Frank Lloyd design a modern guillotine for the roof?

This is all Biden’s fault.

Well I’m sure some Park Slope type will buy it

I have to say, it really looks cool. Much better than 99% of the houses in Queens. How much is it going for ?

What assholes, Frank Lloyd who?
Wasn't that the weirdo musician who wrote the Phantom of the Opera? It figures because the character in this photo looks like hell too.
Will likely cost $150-$300K to properly put it back to original depending if the bricks have been painted, drilled or damaged.
The bead trim windows and whole front entry will need be custom made, you need do 3D scans from an existing building, then have digital templates made for routers and lathes.
Once you fuck an old building up like this its near impossible to bring back to normal because you can no longer buy what you need.

-Gee

In 1937 architect Frank Lloyd Wright built a house for industrialist Hibbard Johnson. One rainy evening Johnson was entertaining distinguished guests for dinner when the roof began to leak. The water seeped through directly above Johnson himself, dripping steadily onto his bald head. Irate, he called Wright in Phoenix, Arizona. “Frank,” he said, “you built this beautiful house for me and we enjoy it very much. But I have told you the roof leaks, and right now I am with some friends and distinguished guests and it is leaking right on top of my head.” Wright’s reply was heard by all of the guests. “Well, Hib, why don’t you move your chair?” (Today in the Word, Moody Bible Institute, Jan, 1992, p. 14).

Gino, you're quite ignorant. Frank Lloyd Crap is a take off on Frank Lloyd Wright.

Meh. There's far worse out there. At least delivery people have no problem finding the place lol.

Wouldn’t ‘Frank Lloyd Wrong’ be a better title?

Gino is still in love with Lego.
