A Frank Lloyd Crap special in Bushwick
As expected, this project is rife with complaints, violations, stop work orders, etc., and for some reason has multiple BINs.
The proposed vertical enlargement will make an 8-family out of a 3-family. But should we really call them "family" units? It'll probably be home to DSA transplants living wall-to-wall.

At least Crapper’s making the do re mi. Check out that cashmere coat -he must be getting the bag. As in bag o’money chock full of the real estate developers kick backs.Must have learned the fine art of grafting from the Irish Mafia Maven Cathy Nolan.
What’s a DSA transplant? Is that like undocumented immigrant? Or invading army?
The Landmarks Law should be overturned as it's only helping the elites - once they are in the same sinking boat as the rest of us things will change.
America deserves what’s coming. This is what you get when u cede borders, rational faculties and ethics to the whole mob. You get crap!
FUCK THESE OUT OF STATE DSA TRANSPLANTS. NYC WILL BE WORSE THAN THE 1970S BECAUSE OF THEM!!!
I believe it's called freedom to build on your own property. I know lots of Marxists want to regulate this, but this works against the free market economy.
If you don't like freedoms, maybe your are living in the wrong country.
What a UAB- Ugly Ass Building!
Who designs such crap? Failed architecture students?
Cathy Nolan has cancer and isn’t running for re-election. Everyone on Grove knows that. Assembly districts are going to be completely redrawn this year anyway. Census 2020 and NY constitutional reform, so Ridgewood might get some DSA transplant from Ohio in her place. Or maybe you’ll get Maritza Davila, the crone of Bushwick.
That area is zoned R6. So expect a bunch more of these finger buildings when they can’t get cobble together lots.
DSA folks want freedom to build on your own property so they can upzone all of NYC. There are DSA folks who pimp for yimby lobbyists like Open New York and mortgage industry sponsored Aaron Carr and his housing rights initiative.
Hey, we called Cathy for support once and SHE GAVE US AN ENTIRE MINUTE OF HER TIME! She could throw us under the bus knowing that her adoring constituents would throw their collective mothers under the bus if a politician would smile in their direction. If the constituents never get a good deal they have no one to blame but themselves for being led into that corner.
Of course, it's a two-way street. You know if the politicians never had the policy to keep their constituents acting like needy children every time they walked into a room we might be in a better place today.
Now, this toxic relationship with your elected class is starting to catch up with you and you have not the foggiest idea on what to do. Fine. Put up with the Squad for a while until you figure it out.
Heinous. Definition of eyesore. The block looked charming and classy and had real character. This disruption will lead to a hobbled mess of development making the block a modernist nightmare.
Zoning is a City issue. Cathy Nolan can't do anything about this building, she's in the State Assembly. For Bushwick and that part of Ridgewood, it's on Antonio Reynoso. He's been your councilman for 8 years, and he worked for prior one. Now that he's on his way to becoming Brooklyn Borough President, you can expect him to continue doing nothing and ignoring your phone calls.
I call these ugly, feeble, unconscionable structures 'hideosities,' and I think that I invented the word because it doesn't exist in any of the more than six dictionaries that I researched to find a match.
But, this is how it's going to end for New York City, possums. Exactly like ALL ancient civilizations collapsed under the crushing weight of 'The Illusion of Progress,' NAKED GREED, cognitive dissonance and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), three forms of mental illness for which there IS no cure! That, and tasteless crud that passes for architecture――modern or otherwise.
The state can abolish single family zoning. Look at California trying to abolish single family zoning. Aaron Carr and his housing rights initiative sponsored by folks tied to the mortgage industry would be thrilled if the NY legislature abolished single family zoning.
Looks like a Leggo shit tower!
Queens should start to send pictures like this to every preservation website in NYC and ask them why?
HDC, and the rest.
