King Manor experiences exec change

Mary Anne Mrozinski is no longer Executive Director of King Manor. The new director is Nadezhda Williams, formerly of Historic Districts Council. Funny how there was no announcement.

How long to clean up the rest of the board?

How can she reconcile her experience as #2 in HDC with the open sewer of the Queens cultural scene, especially president Gerry Caliendo.

Knowing how the rest of the city treats Queens the odious mess it is, they will let it quietly slide under the radar for their old alum.

Kudos to the Crapper! Exclusive. Folks, did you read this anywhere else? The Crapman has scooped every local media outlet. (And, admit it, that's why you live to read this page each morning).

Now why did the long-time, venerable Mrozinsky go? Quietly at that? Any of you media outlets going to pursue this?

And note Caliendo is still the Board Chairman. Caliendo is the architect of the Steinway Mansion Historical Heritage site warehouse construction. Caliendo tells us in the King Manor Organizational Mission Statement:

"Collections management, preservation, and architectural, archaeological and historical research are continuous activities at the museum. Our goal is to make history relevant and immediate, and to foster an awareness of the roots of the present and a deeper appreciation of history as an on-going process."

Did Mrozinsky feel ashamed of being on the same administrative listing as Caliendo, Astoria warehouse-designer and, some would say, the inspirational physical destroyer of the Steinway legacy? Did she do the right thing by resigning?

And what about the new Executive Director of King Manor, Nadezhda Williams? How does she feel being on that administrative listing with Caliendo?

S-o-o-o many questions. Please, answers.

Peter Byrne was once on the board of Queebns Historical Society, if this is the same guy.

Mrozinski wants to keep her job. She was once executive director of QHS.

At this point King Manor has little to do with the Steinway tragedy.

Indeed why did the "venerable" Mrozinski checkout? Here's her wedding announcement (a Blast from the Past-1997) that appeared in the New York Times. She was at the helm of King Manor for ages.

Mary Anne, why did you quit? Social Security collecting time OR something else?

And here's a photo of Nadezhda Williams, the new King Manor honcho posing with all the same old "concerned" pols at the recent Save-the-Brinkerhoff cemetery rally.

Nadezhda, what do you say to Caliendo at the Board meetings? How's the weather? OR something else?

Looks like Gerald Caliendo is one helluva bull shit artist. Merde alors! A bull shit artiste extraordinaire, mais oui.

Queens, you get what you deserve.

It has everything to do with Steinway and Caliendo's name has been bantered about on a number of projects

Remember this?

The question is her background vs the civic culture in Queens, and what will HDC do - fight for us or make her look bad over Caliendo?

This time we got him and will not let up!

Who cares? Civic virtue is the only thing in queens that matters and you're a fascist if you don't agree. So I'm told every time I come to this site. Oh, I mean once in queens.

Judith Todman is Manager of The Archives @ Queens Library (formerly the Long Island Division); and I believe the Rev. Darryl James is Rector at nearby Grace Church, Jamaica.

Historic Districts Council don't do shit anyway.
So what will the new director bring to King Manor?

Does anyone know the salaries, if any, of these Executive Directors? Mrozinski? Williams? Singleton? This is public information?
