Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt

They were cracking down on these types of signs
around the Bell Blv'd. area in Bayside last summer !
HOW ABOUT A CITY LAW
REQUIRING POSTING ENGLISH
ON ALL SIGNS ?
I think that's a far more important public safety issue !
so if these free-standing signs are illegal and you see one while walking down a sidewalk would it be okay to kick it down and wipe your feet on it? :)
because on one, sidewalk signs, you pay a fine (revenue) and with the other, foreign signs, the people are fine (soldiers for the machine)
Nice, quick $$$ grab for the city. Nothing else, move along.
These signs are temporary, and could easily be moved. Shouldn't the city be spending its time on permanent illegla signs instead?
