Cuomo got paid 4 million dollars to write his COVID novel while using tax dollars to make his staff edit it as they were editing the nursing home data

An unpublished draft of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s book contained a three-page-long broadside against Mayor Bill de Blasio, the governor’s fellow Democrat and frequent political foe.

New York Times

As the coronavirus subsided in New York last year, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo had begun pitching a book proposal that would center on his image as a hero of the pandemic. But by early last summer, both his book and image had hit a critical juncture.

Mr. Cuomo leaned on his top aide, Melissa DeRosa, for assistance. She attended video meetings with publishers, and helped him edit early drafts of the book. But there was also another, more pressing edit underway at the same time.

An impending Health Department report threatened to disclose a far higher number of nursing home deaths related to the coronavirus than the Cuomo administration had previously made public. Ms. DeRosa and other top aides expressed concern about the higher death toll, and, after their intervention, the number — which had appeared in the second sentence of the report — was removed from the final version.

The revisions occurred as the governor was on the brink of a huge payoff: a book deal that ended with a high offer of more than $4 million, according to people with knowledge of the book’s bidding process.

A New York Times examination of the development of Mr. Cuomo’s lucrative book deal revealed how it overlapped with the move by his most senior aides to reshape a report about nursing home deaths in a way that insulated the governor from criticism and burnished his image.

Mr. Cuomo also utilized the resources of his office — from his inner circle to far more junior personnel — to help with the manuscript. In late June and early July, for example, a top aide to the governor, Stephanie Benton, twice asked assistants to print portions of the draft of the book, and deliver them to Mr. Cuomo at the Executive Mansion in Albany, where he lives.

One of Ms. Benton’s directives came on June 27, the same day that Ms. DeRosa convened an impromptu teleconference with several other top advisers to discuss the Health Department draft report.

On Wednesday, Richard Azzopardi, a senior adviser to the governor, rejected any link between Mr. Cuomo’s book and the Health Department report.

“There is no connection between the report and this outside project, period,” Mr. Azzopardi said. “And any suggestion otherwise is just wrong.”

At some point the people will demand justice

The NYT endorsed this bozo in every election first for AG and then governor telling its readers in effect that it would be both immoral and a global disaster to vote against Andrew Cuomo. The editors of the NYT have lavished Cuomo with thousands of effusive articles and fawning editorials since Gargoyle Andy started his public life. Both the editors of the NYT and Andrew Cuomo are full of Queens Crap.

"At some point the people will demand justice"

People demand justice a majority of the time especially when violent crimes are committed by homeless violent drug addicts, lifelong career criminals, sexual predators, and repeat offenders.

The problem is lawmakers, pointless criminal laws, and bail reform laws keep letting these repetitive violent criminals back on the streets and never notifying victims of these crimes.

Where is the justice for victims, and law-abiding citizens who are victimized over again when the laws fail them, and lawmakers defend the criminals and give them more rights than the victims and people who follow the rules.

NYC is run by criminals. Crooked politicians, repeat violent criminals, homeless violent drug addicts now run the city.

Get out before you too are punched in the face, shoved onto the subway tracks, attacked by teenagers on their bicycles, or beaten, shoved to the ground and stomped upon by criminals just released from prison.

NYC is now a 3rd world city where violent crime has been normalized by do nothing politicians.

Don't blame the politicians in NYC, blame the people that elected them.

The problem is that we bring people here and never make an effort to teach them traditional American values (and no, don't give me the horsesh*t that this is little more than whipping slaves and stealing native American land.)

Immigrants don't become 'real' Americans because they come here and learn how to make money.
They become real Americans when they have the same value system that made this nation great.

Further, Americans and the world-at-large suffer from a: Lack of identity, cultural stripping, fears of authenticity, low IQ, parasitic economy, derailed values, gang mentality, fixed mindsets, fictional American dream$, corporate policy, and propaganda machined chaos!

❝It is impossible for any doomed population to grasp how fragile the decayed financial, social and political system is on the eve of implosion. All the harbingers of collapse are visible: crumbling infrastructure; chronic underemployment and unemployment; the indiscriminate use of lethal force by police; political paralysis and stagnation; an economy built on the scaffolding of debt; nihilistic mass shootings in schools, universities, workplaces, malls, concert venues and movie theaters; opioid overdoses that kill som 64,000 people a year; an epidemic of suicides; unsustainable military expansion; gambling as a desperate tool of economic development and government revenue; the capture of power by a tiny, corrupt clique; censorship; the physical diminishing of public institutions ranging from schools and libraries to courts and medical facilities; the incessant bombardment by electronic hallucinations to divert us from the depressing sight that has become America, and keep us trapped in illusions. We suffer the usual pathologies of impending death. I would be happy to be wrong. But I have seen this before. I know the warning signs. All I can say is——get ready.❞ ——Chris Hedges

So, WHAT exactly has she done, or voted for, that party lurker Crowley wouldn’t have? She has made zero progress for the people who gave her their small dollar donations. She has fought for nothing more than what was offered. But, unlike her languishing constituency, she has her healthcare for life, and now her pension, but it’s okay for everyone else in the rank and file to 'Hurry Up And Wait,' because of inconvenient timing or committee appointments, or a $15/hour minimum wage that we didn’t get either (and, one that still wouldn't be enough to keep pace with ever climbing inflation; fifteen dollars was the correct inflationary index factor for 1989 - NOT 32 years later!). She’s just like the rest of the entrenched, politically failed, womb-to-tomb frauds, telling us to be patient and wait.

So, SHE doesn't take corporate money, she just takes YOURS and then gives it to Democrats who DO! Got it!

❝An entire globe-spanning empire depends on keeping a true leftist movement from EVER arising in America, so vast power structures have gone to great lengths to build an enormous barrier to prevent that from happening. That barrier's name is the Democratic Party. That is its purpose.❞ —Caitlin Johnstone

❝This is the great power of the two-party-machine-failed duopoly CULT. The Republicans are in charge of promoting the interests of the corporate rulers, and to push it as far as they can. The Democrats exist strictly to control the people ('SHEEPLE') so that NO opposition ever appears. And that's a very different task and therefore they appear as very different parties, but in reality they serve the same monied interests (and 'Monetary Locusts' of oligarchy) and they actually work together as a team in order to create utter confusion in America.❞ —Peter Camejo
