Bloomie's pet

From the NY Post:

The intra-party war in the Queens Republican Party is about to get mighty interesting since Mayor Bloomberg has written an eye-popping $120,000 check to a new political committee formed by John Haggerty, who's trying to oust the county's GOP leader.

State Board of Elections records show the mayor wired the money to Haggerty's "28th Assembly District Republican Committee" last Nov. 20.

The committee has the same Forest Hills address as Haggerty, a longtime Bloomberg ally who has feuding for years with GOP Queens leader Phil Ragusa.

One GOP insider was incredulous when informed of the size of the mayor's contribution.

"Are you sure you have the decimal point right?" asked the insider, noting that the Queens Republican Party controlled by Ragusa received only $50,000 from the mayor last year.

Told it was accurate, the insider concluded: "It looks like they're going to have a lovely war."

Ragusa (LOL)...each time I view his "kisser" in the media he looks to me like a dumb plump walrus gavone!

Wake up Phil...hibernation is over if your party wants to dump Ackerman (a most dangerous man).

Ragusa is a plump walrus, so was TR. Haggerty will need that money to support his family after Bloomberg's term is up because has no skill set. I hope he invests it wisely.

Pretty funny, I guess that's what they were saying in MA last week. But not now.

Look at what happened in Upstate NY earlier this year, when the Republicans lost a Congrsssional seat that they had held for 150 years, thanks in no small part to intramural warfare.

Lino's point is still very valid.

All's I'm sayin' is, "hope" and "change" = Jimmy Carter. QGOP picks ups a few city council seats here, maybe a state senate seat next go round, Nassau County goes GOP again, etc., etc. What comes around goes around. Dat's all.

Maybe, maybe not. That's what the next nine months are all about. That much time in politics is an eternity.

Seriously, why does Queens even have a Republican party? Enrollment is one tenth of the Democrats and I suspect many of the registered Republicans are either deceased or no longer living in Queens. Does anyone alive now remember when Queens had a Republican in the City Council, State Assembly, or State Senate?

Queens has 3 in the council and 1 in the Senate. Where you been?

the state of Massachusetts has a 3 democrat to 1 republican voter registration. yet Senator elect Brown
won as a G.O.P. candidate.

Reagan Democrats are alive and voting with intelligence.

the first republican to win this seat since the 1940's.

insane liberal democrat policies will provoke patriot action at the polls.
WANTED: a" downtown Brown" candidate who can score another "slamdunk", to run in New York State.
send "Chuckie or Gilly" to the bench permanently.

thank you 9-12 patriots and tea party patriots.
do not quit.
FIRE ERIC HOLDER IMMEDIATELY.

From a purely technical..propagandist view that is correct. However for those that see this as some sort of earthquake, check out these simple-to-understand links:

Seems 'ol Massachusetts has had it's share of repub's and dems..right up to the present.

Senators too:

Haggerty has felt he is entitled because of his dad's connections years ago. This is the perfect reason not to support guys like Haggerty.

The Dems will be howling at this one. Just when it looks like Carrozza might be vulnerable and someone might be able to give Toby a serious race here comes another Queens GOP dustup to save the day. Unbelieveable and yet totally believeable.

Gumby Tabone and Sponge Bart Square Parts are a comic strip. At least Fran Wormer, with Arnold the Croce, on Patticake Junction, was a sitcom.
