Slashing incidents on the rise

From NBC 4:

Slashings and stabbings are up more than 20 percent in 2016, according to NYPD figures.

There had been 1,325 slashings and stabbings in 2016 through Sunday, compared with 1,088 over the same period in 2015. That represents a 21.78-percent increase in the category of the violent crime, which has been the focus of intense scrutiny by both the media and NYPD brass.

Subway crime, likewise, is up this year. There were 719 crimes on the city's subway system through Sunday, according to the NYPD. That's up more than 6 percent from 2015, which saw 674 crimes on the mass transit system over the same period.

This is is all a result of the DumBlasio administration's lack of concern for public safety and lack of supporting the police to do their job. He wanted to focus on civil rights and his poor choices, like getting rid of stop and frisk, gave criminals the green light to carry knives and weapons without fear of getting caught. Now we have a spike in slashings, injury and death.

This is the worst mayor the city has ever had...worse than mayor Krotch. Trump would be a better mayor. Let's all hope someone with half a brain runs against this moron and we get a new mayor.

WE NEED MORE BIKE LANES!

Camel bladder said...

Bike lanes and assault knife control is what is needed. And open up the courts to lawsuits against those evil profiteering steak knife manufacturers. But don't you dare suggest a crackdown on the street scum that has invaded the city due to Wilhelm's invitation.

I wonder how many knives and blades did Stop and Frisk take off the streets.

We need to ban knives and anything with a sharp edge! Knife control coming to a corrupt city near you...

Who carries knifes and why?
Are knifes cultural to some races and not others?
If you think NY has a knife problem just wait till PR defaults on its government bonds Monday morning and the exodus of the island starts
The streets starting in the Bronx will flow with blood,
How do I know you ask? I WAS STABED ON UNIVERSITY AVE.

Forgot to tell you why I was stabed in the Bronx,
Because I was white, that's all it took.just missed my heart and the crowd saw NOTHING.

When that was implemented, the NYPD never stated anything about knives, The justification for that unconstitutional failure was to collect guns. And as the results shown that the majority of stops, in the 6 figures, resulted in dismissals.

What These attacks show is the result of a perpetually fucked up justice and class system, misguided police deployments and the pervasive anarchy, cynicism and impunity of certain recidivist criminals and desperate people as a result of it. Partially inspired by a mayoralty engaging in the same acts to wield power and influence to get their half-assed programs for the benefit of their bribers/donors.

DiBlasio said in in February that knife attacks are up because gun crimes are down and he is proud of it.

Subway slashing's and crime are up because the Transit Police officers are to busy giving out tickets for walking between the train car's and man spreading. NYC is a f--king mess.

No more Mr. Knife Guy!!!

Need to allow law abiding citizens to carry guns if they wish to because this is only going to get worse and not enough cops. The Mexican cartel and ISIS is flooding the country with heroine and gang cells to create total chaos. Look at all those people the killed in Ohio. Why this president is turning a blind eye to this and not putting the army on that border to stop it ?

Anonymous said...

So the progressive mentally disturbed liberals are calling for a ban on knives and box cutters?
Or that only applies to guns?

Anonymous said...

Not sure but I believe police protocol is to shoot if knife wielding perp comes within 20 feet of an officer

Perhaps we had something with the stop and frisk policy. Too many people complained about stop and frisk and now that it's gone, those same people are the ones getting slashed. This is the publics fault....you get what you ask for.

Slashing is up because all the hipshits got their faces buried in their i-pads.

Man, this is NYC - the big time. Stay alert and look around you.

feakin morons.

According to you my rights need to be violated to be safe.
You are a total asshole.
Read that piece of paper called the Constitution.
Or live in a communist, totalitarian regime.
How about doing the job and not violating anybody's rights?
Does that work for you?

Please put security surveillance cameras on all subway trains, every single car. People will no longer act up on the subway. That's how it is on the Path train. put more cameras in stations too. put intercoms on subway so anyone can communicate with police.

Then people like you need to stop complaining when one of your relatives or children get slashed in the fucking face! When stop and frisk was implemented, this wasn't going on....why don't you look at statistics! I believe they should have kept stop and frisk but did it in a more evenly fashion where ALL races and all genders got searched equally. There is no winning you idiot. How would you like it if your child got slashed while walking home from school and all it took was one police officer to just stop and look for a weapon on the person who slashed your child? Then you'd be singing a far different tune! Same thing like these illegals who jump the border and then raped or murdered one of your family members. If that illegal wasn't allowed over here, your family member wouldn't have gotten killed! Get your head out your ass you stupid liberal and start thinking with your head!

"Read that piece of paper called the Constitution."

Read??? What is read? Me no need to read. I lucky enough to have government take care of me, house and feed me. i no read English, i no speakie either. Make Mexico great again!

Bring back Stop & Frisk! keep the beasts under control.

Anonymous said...

Waddaya expect? End stop and frisk and reap the horror!

There's nothing unconstitutional about stop and frisk. Those who claim so act as if the word "unreasonable" isn't part of the 4th Amendment.

See Terry v. Ohio

And stop being so nasty while you're at it.

Anonymous said...

4th Amendment prohibits unreasonable search and seizure. Most City cops will agree that it is unconstitutional and it was just a numbers game. If NYC didn't throw out the 2nd Amendment citizens could carry for self protection, and you would see far fewer slashings, rapes, robberies, etc. The only way to get a carry permit in this city is to bribe a cop in the licence division.

JQ LLC said...

We can all debate the constitutionality of stop and frisk, but it's cheap, lazy and shoddy investigating. And the costs, from mistrust to expenses, have been damaging.

Like those hebrew vigilante gangbangers tied to DeFaustio's Crooklyn donor buddies.

Not too long ago, a local hardware store on 162nd street , towards Flushing Cemetery, was selling machetes. This is a known MS 13 area.
Yep...there they were...various big blade slicing and dicing tools right on display in their front window.
So much for bucolic Broadway Flushing. Oops, that's Peter Koo's turf. Not that Don Vallone would give a shit if it were his.

What about the elderly? Maybe carrying a "bang stick" cane chambered for 20 gauge , is a deterrent.

De Blasio has taken NYC back to the 1970s when crime ran rampant.

one wonders why the M.S.Media does not profile the "SLASHERS" ?In Israel the slahers & suicide bombers constantly infiltrate the citizenry. Are the MSM useful idiots of our "OPEN BORDERS" & VISA WAIVER(90DAYS) elected pols (DEM).

why not local suckers calling your Queens pols to expose their votes ?
