Fencing in Astoria

Here we have fake grass where the fence should be and where there should be grass we find some oddly-angled concrete. We're not really sure why this is the way it is. But we do know that it's around the corner from Astoria Park and looks really ghetto.

Not a peep about this on Astorians.com.

They are so into chatting about pinball and Applebees.

So much for new talent moving into the neighborhood.

I think you are being too harsh on them.

They are really into slamming the president, the governor, and the mayor.

How about going after the people that can actually do something for them and change things at the local level?

Not too close now!! Let us not talk about anything in the community that the politicians can do or be held responsible for (outside of getting them a bookstore)

You should see the wall at the Lawrence Cemetary on 20th Road. Its a landmark and people dump there all the time.

The wall is in terrible shape.

Moore Jackson is not much better - a jungle in there.

Nice waste of time landmarking something that can never be touched by developers.

I understand it is owned by QHS, the 'official' historical society.

No wonder they get that dubious distinction in that boro.

The retards poured the concrete as a retaining wall... I could have done a better job...
