The things people do to their homes never ceases to amaze me. Here we are at 62-51 80th Street in Middle Village. The owner was hit with a partial stop work order last week because of the unsafe scaffolding. The permit they have is for: NEW 2 STORY PLUS CELLAR BRICK & BLOCK ADDITION TO EXISTING 1 FAMILY RESIDENCE. This will in effect eliminate most of their yard.
Why not just buy a bigger house?

Why not buy a bigger house?
Location, Location, Location!
I initially thought the article was referring to the parking job.
You don't buy a bigger house in the burbs if you're really just interested in renting to and stockpiling 30 illegals in a home once meant for 5 people.
"This will in effect eliminate most of their yard"
That's like those gaudy monstrosities in Howard Beach. They build over all of the backyard except for a tiny landing strip of grass, and then they completely pave over the front! You live in a flood zone, ya dummies!!! Howsa 'bout a little drainage?
"in Howard Beach. They build over all of the backyard except for a tiny landing strip of grass, and then they completely pave over the front!"
I got a slight chuckle from that, it reminded me of the footage when sandy hit and crossbay blvd. looked like the red sea after moses got done with it.
That town's got a lot of bad karma after enabling and harboring all those mobsters.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. They are not connected to this website and the opinions presented here do not necessarily represent the positions of these organizations.

Yeah the parking job could use its own posting.
