Well Queens, you've got a mayor for the next 4 years who's a lame duck (unless he has presidential aspirations), and told the press a few months ago:

What’s been hardest is the way our legal system is structured to favor private property. I think people all over this city, of every background, would like to have the city government be able to determine which building goes where, how high it will be, who gets to live in it, what the rent will be. I think there’s a socialistic impulse, which I hear every day, in every kind of community, that they would like things to be planned in accordance to their needs. And I would, too. Unfortunately, what stands in the way of that is hundreds of years of history that have elevated property rights and wealth to the point that that’s the reality that calls the tune on a lot of development.

Good luck, you're gonna need it.

Happy New Year Crapper.

Resolutions for folks:

1. VOTE, ALWAYS, EVERY ELECTION, especially local.

2. READ, Learn FACTS. AND read or watch BOTH sides. GET OUT OF YOUR BUBBLE,be it conservative, liberal, Republican, Democrat, etc.

3. STOP using the phrase "FAKE NEWS" unless you eventually want a state run media like countries with dictators.

4. Hold local elected officials accountable. call them, email them, be united for change.

5. The enemies are those in power that abuse it, not us lowly folks. They want us to fight among ourselves.

6. It is all CRAP.

ALL PAY and NO WORK that We, the People are publicly funding without consent, as THIS CRIMINAL KAKISTOCRACY ENTERPRISE of MONETARY LOCUSTS have now ABSOLVED and EXPIATED THEMSELVES FROM THE OPENLY PRACTICING CORRUPTION, GRAFT, GREED, CRONYISM, NEPOTISM, COVER-UPS, KICKBACKS and PAYOFFS for which everyone else continues to pay a maddening price.

❝Voting is not an act of political freedom. It is an act of political conformity. Those who refuse to vote are not expressing silence. They are screaming in the politician's ear: 'You do not represent me. This is not a process in which my voice matters. I do not believe you.'❞ ―Wendy McElroy

Here's a great New Years Resolution. Move out of New York, yep vote with your feet because things are not going to change for the better here, its only going to get worse until this city is no better than most third world cities.

Lame Duck? This is only the start of year 5 for him. He's got seven more to go. And by the way-- he'll run for higher national office and be on the road half the time for that in the coming years, but won't resign as Mayor to do it. Just watch.
