Not one to defend these folks, BUT RE School, depending on what day that photo was taken, there could be a reason the kid isn't in school - I think my son (in 5th grade) has had a couple of days off, and a couple of 1/2 days in the last 2 weeks. My HS age daughter has been home more than not since last Tuesday (last day of regular classes - she's just had tests, and report card pick up next week)
She always has the kids with her.
Some of these Glendale mendicants used to beg on Main Street claiming to be Jewish. They were initially successful, but not knowing a word of Hebrew, their sham was exposed.
This is a gimmick used by women in the subway that make their child lie on the floor while the pregnant (fake) mother looks forlorn holding a sign up indicating her condition and her inability to feed her child or herself. These folks do this at Grand Central in the tunnel to the 7 line and at Roosevelt Ave station daily. The police arrest her frequently but like a bad penny she goes right back to the same spots. INS should arrest and deport this woman as she is a know illegal. Obama enforce the law against criminals not give them amnesty!
These middle eastern begger ladies are EVERYWHERE now. Main Street, Jamaica Avenue, the 7 train, the J train, times square etc.... And they do it with their children with them.
They have no laminated cards made for begging purposes.
They aren't her kids. She gets the little people from "Rent-a-Kid" located on Myrtle Avenue. One can rent them for a percentage of their daily take or a flat rate.
However she needs to develop a better location. "Rent-a-Kid" will provide a location for a bigger piece of the action. She should re-locate to a busy corner preferably a highway exit ramp with a traffic light at the intersection. Also, she should be more pro-active. Get up and take it to the people. Let them see the situation and teach the kids to whimper and cry.
Studies have shown that beggars get larger hand outs from the public if they have little weeping ones with them.
They also get more $ if that have a pet. Witness the guy at the north corner of 69th Street and the LIE service road. The guy cleans up with a cute pooch and a hand lettered sign declaring he is broke and hungry.
He actually collects more than the kids selling cold water on the south side of 69th street/LIE.
Now, if the kids could train a dog to carry the water bottles in their mouths or in a basket they might boost their sales.
Cutesy stuff like a dog selling water always beats out a "I'm broke and hungry" beggar. The doggy doesn't play to the drivers inate sense of guilt.

it's obvious that they are collecting every known government benefit for the jackpot/anchor babies. on father's day, a loud mouth guy pushing a baby carriage w/ a child & a grimy sullen woman in tow, cleaned up on father's day as he pitched his obnoxious spiel on the subway. commuters were handing him fives and ones.
what baffles me is how does anyone assume that they are even related. Any cash they are given goes right up the crack pipe. when you give a crack head food, clothing or shelter you are only freeing up their cash or food stamps to pay for crack & more crack.
the Gypsies are very organized. they have inherent hostility & hatred towards anyone who is not a Gypsy.
Deport them all. Arrest people for child abuse who are begging, using children, babies or baby carriages as props.
There's also a young 20-something woman who begs at Forest Hills/Continental Station regularly with an infant.
What's really interesting is she owns more expensive sneakers than me...

911 is for emergencies. Although this is a problem, I don't think it qualifies as an emergency.
Yet people continue to give and give.

These beggars keep begging because of stupid soft hearted people who give them money. This women refused help unless it was cash. She didn't want food, only money money. She barely speaks english and when you try to talk to her she runs away.

The lady with the infant should be charged with child abuse and Social Services take away this child. There is a couple with an infant who do the rounds of the subway cars in Queens and Manhattan with the husband playing a small accordion (POORLY) the infant is the play on why they get donations. Why is all this tolerated Mr Bloomberg? Didn't Guiliani give you the law enforcement template to go after this nuisance? Shame on these people abusing children - it's a crime arrest the adults already!
I've seen the guy w/ the accordion. he drags a woman & a child along. sometimes the toddler has a toy accordion.

How come every time the cops arrest them, the courts turn them loose. If the courts won't do anything, why should the cops?
My favorite scammers are the black guys/women with the green safety vests and the bogus TYPED and laminated id cards Amazing the amount of cas that goes into their buckets,then into there pockets..SUCKERS!
This woman is not a Mother - no sane Mother will do this and drag their kid along to witness depravity - this woman is so ugly that no man will ever go near the scurvy to ever get her pregnant.
She is a fraud and a criminal who if not being pimped to do this is criminal for doing this - arrest her, get social services involved, invesitgate her residency status!
This is becoming more common-- in Manhattan we see it on the subway-- women begging with children. Guess there is no law against it, and it's not considered child abuse, right?
