Merry Christmas from Coney Island!

It looks like would-be Coney Island developer Joe Sitt has gone all Henry F. Potter this Christmas, sending workers out last night to put up "For Lease" signs on boardwalk properties owned by his company, Thor Equities. A commenter on the message board snapped some photos last night and this morning, depicting the signs above such indispensible boardwalk mainstays as Nathan's and scruffy dive bar Ruby's Bar & Grill.

Seriously, the man has no heart—worse than that, sheer malice mixed with blatant power issues, where his heart should be."

So how is he different than any other block busting blood sucking developer?

Considering that the politicans and media are in their pocket, and they have the mute agreement of the preservation community (or we should say the rich white people of Brooklyn Heights, Greenvich Village, and the East/West Sides of Manhattan) why should things be any different?

Just what are you going to do about it?

Merry Christmas
