Judge orders presidential primary election back on, Bernie Sanders back on ballot

Ballots NY election

 NY Post

A federal court judge has ordered New York Democrats to reinstate the presidential primary election for June 23 after one-time candidate Andrew Yang challenged its cancellation.

Judge Analisa Torres in her decision Tuesday ruled that the New York Board of Elections’ decision to cancel the vote was unconstitutional and that all qualified candidates as of April 26 must be on the ballot.

“[T]he removal of presidential contenders from the primary ballot not only deprived those candidates of the chance to garner votes for the Democratic Party’s nomination,” Torres wrote in her opinion.
“…but also deprived their pledged delegates of the opportunity to run for a position where they could influence the party platform, vote on party governance issues, pressure the eventual nominee on matters of personnel or policy, and react to unexpected developments at the Convention.”

Yang sued the New York State Board of Elections last week, claiming the cancellation “fundamentally denie[d] [voters] the right to choose our next candidate for the office of President of the United States.”

Arthur Schwartz, an attorney for plaintiffs in the case, called the decision an “extraordinary victory for the democratic process.”

“This decision is not a win for Andrew Yang or Bernie Sanders. It is a win for democracy,” Schwartz said in a statement. “And it is also a warning to President Trump not to mess around with our right to vote him out in November.”

Finally some good news! Good job Andrew Yang! I might switch my vote from Bernie to Yang over this.

While the nomination seems to be a foregone conclusion, NY is unique in that we directly elect our congressional district delegates. We know who these delegates are. New Yorkers are entitled to weigh in on who they want to send as delegates, and who they support for the nominee. we don’t need Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina to make our decisions for us. Nor do we need the corrupt State Board of Elections

Can you believe what the Democratic Party swamp creeters were trying to do? The Nadlers and Malonies of the world are shaking in their boots, terrified of the progressives, and wanted to discourage them from voting in the primaries! As for Sleepy--often incoherent, Covid 9--Joe, he's at least capacitated enough to want Bernie as politically weak as possible at the Democratic convention--a.k.a. Hillary's wake.

I'll be showing up the polls and voting for Sanders to express my disgust with Big Time Corrupt Motherfucker Cuomo and his attempt to cancel this primary. He tried to kick me off the rolls in 2016. I responded to the BOE mailing right when I got it. Now he tried to fuck us again by trying to cancel the election. Fuck him.

How is this good news?

Party hack Schwartz, who by the way is delegate for Sanders- sorry he was elected as a Sanders delegate but couldn't serve because of heart trouble. Or because his son Jacob Schwartz was arrested on Child Pornography charges. His son, Jacob, got three years . Jacob Schwartz was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16, both felonies. Hope he's not been released because of the Chinese virus.

Arthur Schwartz is a has been ambulance chaser attempting to take up for left wing causes. He is the attorney for the corrupt DC 37 union of city employees. Not that he does much for the working class.
